Villa holiday rentals in Saint James

Two retired British couples, one new to Barbados and one more used to staying in hotels around the island. We had the most amazing holiday and stay in Jasmine Villa. It is in a wonderful location and is elegantly and luxuriously furnished. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and everything we ever needed was there on hand. We prepared three quarters of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen and the others we took in restaurants on the West and South Coast. Sugar Hill Club was great for the pool and the restaurant, which we appreciated especially on the night we arrived. We also made great use of the Beach Club at the Fairmont Hotel, included with the house. We took taxis to/from the airport and rented a small car, delivered to the property, to explore many of Barbados' attractions and for shopping in nearby Holetown.

My family and I had an amazing time at this house. Beautiful home in a beautiful area. First morning there were green monkeys in the back yard but they disappeared after that day. They were not aggressive and. it was cool for the kids to see them right in the back yard. Laundry facilities are great. Home is as described and so worth the money. Michael was always very responsive and even gave us a bit later check out since our flight was a bit delayed. Pool was fantastic and I would definitely stay there again. The bedrooms all have AC and ceiling fans downstairs but it was still very very hot during the days downstairs. One Ac unit in the tv room would help immensely. Other than that we all loved it. Mullins beach is a 10 minute drive away. Will definitely be back. Thanks Lee and Audrey and Michael for all your help.

We had a wonderful stay at Ruth's place! The property was beautiful- a brand new house with upgraded finishes and beautiful pool with a great outdoor living space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. Full laundry capability was helpful with young children. The AC kept the entire house cool when we needed it. This is important because Barbados is hot and humid even at nighttime. We appreciated the groceries that were provided on arrival, which is helpful after a flight when you are too tired to venture out to shop. Housekeeping was provided twice during the week and the pool was cleaned several times by staff when we were there. If we come back to Barbados, we would love to stay at Ruth's place again!

We had a fantastic time at the Sweet Spot villa. Between the easy access to the beach and private pool, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. The community is beautiful and there was ample space for our family of 11. It was also a huge plus to have bathrooms in each bedroom when getting ready each day. Todne was very helpful in getting our questions answered. Unfortunately, internet is spotty (which caused delays in communicating in general). It would have been helpful to have had some instructions regarding the house earlier (re: how to get ‘hot’ water, work the door locks, registering etc.) but we figured it out eventually. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Such a beautiful Villa in a great location. Fully equipped with everything you need. Loved everything about this place. It’s a 5 mins walk to the beach and the Fairmont beach passes a real bonus too! Helen was excellent with communication (not that we needed much of it) Five stars from us! Thank you and we will be back.

Everything was great, house is very spacious. Definetly would book again. Mike and Pam responded immediately and they gave us later check out which was a bonus.

Green Monkey is an lovely, spacious well-equipped apartment and it is hard to find a more excellent location . The compound is very pretty and well-kept with a lovely pool and lots of greenery. Kerry was a wonderful host, communicating with us before and during to ensure everything was going well. Mullins is just footsteps away and such a lovely beach to spend the days on. We truly had one of the best vacations ever.

This is a beautiful villa with so much charm.. the wrap around porch is the center of it all.. we spent mornings, afternoons and late nights enjoying the porch. We rented the whole villa and the cottage close to it for a group of 15 and we hand so much space! The kitchen is well equipped and had EVERYTHING we needed from place mats to wine glasses and matching China for a sit down dinner setting for our large group. We booked the Chef for one dinner and it was amazing! you should definitely do it, he shopped, cooked, did service and cleaned up! Food was amazing and i personally recommend having the warm chocolate chip bread pudding by him.. amazing!! The staff cleaned and tidy the villa and rooms every morning, the ladies were super helpful and friendly, this is an ideal location for a large group enjoying Barbados. Just book it! :)

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful villa. There is plenty of room for 6 people. It is just a 7 minute walk to the beach and a 25 minute walk into Speightstown. The pool is amazing and really well kept. The only thing that could make this villa even better is to add an en-suite shower room the massive bedroom.

Just got back from a girls getaway and loved every second of our stay at Imagine Villa! The location is perfect, you’re a quick walk to the beach and La Cabane as well as many other things in the area. The bus stop is right outside the villa (take it, you won’t be disappointed!) there were 8 of us, lots of room for everyone, the rooms were perfect, each room has a bathroom and the pool in the back is good for a little dip. Everyone was so responsive and helpful whenever we needed anything, or had a question or request. I will absolutely go back, the Villa is perfect and you will not be disappointed!

Great 7 days- no complaints. Kids enjoyed the private and communal pools. Very responsive host and property manager. So, very pleasant stay overall.

We had the best stay at Mariam’s. The house is beautiful - the photos really don’t do it justice. Mariam went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and was so quick to communicate. The location was great - close to everything we needed whilst still feeling private and quiet. Sometimes by the pool we could hear the sounds of the neighbourhood, but we were never disturbed. We did enjoy the company of a very friendly cat, who would sometimes visit while we were by the pool. Amanda and Desmond were on hand and were brilliant. One evening the gas bottle of the BBQ ran out during cooking. However Mariam had this rectified by the time we even awoke the next morning. We’ll definitely be back - it’s a beautiful house. Thank you!

Beautiful villa! Spent a few days here to celebrate my girlfriend’s 28th birthday and it was everything we could’ve imagined! The view is amazing, barbados is such a lovely place. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Thank you for helping me put together a personal chef for the birthday girl! The villa was so amazing we didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

Annabelle's is an absolutely unique property, and we feel so privileged to have stayed there. Fraser was a wonderful host, so responsive and full of helpful recommendations and suggestions. the very few teething issues were sorted by him during our stay, with the help of Neville, the property manager. Fraser and his team went above and beyond in their efforts to make our stay as stress free as possible, arranging car hire and airport pick ups. The location is stunning. Words are not enough to express the views, the beaches and the sunsets! we have never, and will never again stay anywhere quite as spectacular. It is worth remembering that Anabelle's is a traditional Bajan house. There is no air-con, and the sea is noisy at night. You will be visited by the local bugs, so pack repellent and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper; but when you wake up in the morning and throw open the shutters- it will all be forgotten! Tamarind Villa met all of our expectations. It was clean and kept clean by a housekeeper every couple of days. The house was only a few minutes' drive to Holetown - with great stores and restaurants, and close to the beach. Our family of four enjoyed walking to the clubhouse in the evening for a swim and we had dinner and drinks on several occasions at the restaurant on-site. Not to mention there is a picture-perfect sunset view from the pool deck of the clubhouse. Tamarind Villa and the staff at One Caribbean Estates were exceptional.

Even though there was a little glitch in communication for check-in it was well sorted out by the team. The house was pristine and the surrounding beautiful and peaceful. The only difficult part was to ring in someone to access the property (community) and the concierge was not always responsive. It would be easier to have a code or a card to access the domaine. Otherwise everything was amazing from the people on site, gym was great, common pool as well. I would totally return and recommend the place.

We arrived late at night due to a 4 hour flight delay but had no problem finding our accommodations and getting in. It's a great house. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom with shower so no waiting ever. The front porch and covering on the side of the house with seating and table was great. There's a nice selection of books and games available. The walk to the beach is literally 5 min or less, glad about that. Overall very quiet and it felt quite secure. Highly recommended.

We loved every moment of our stay at Bairds View Villa. It’s a perfect location on the west coast if you’re looking for a quieter stay, right between Speightstown and Holetown with a bus stop at the end of the road for easy travel. Thunder bay beach at the end of the road is beautiful and has great local food/drinks. We hired a car for half of our stay to help us get around the island and explore but if you’re just looking to go to Bridgetown or along the west coast a car is not a must have as the buses are frequent. Yunus was easy to contact prior to arrival and very responsive. John the villa manager was a wonderful host and so helpful, he had good recommendations prior to check in and offered to do grocery shopping for us at no extra cost which was a lovely gesture. We would recommend Bairds View to everyone and can’t wait to hopefully return one day in the future. Thanks so much for an amazing stay!

Loved my stay at Rosie’s place, exactly as described with a few special touches like the gym, and the use of washing machine. Communication was always prompt no matter the time of the day. Would highly recommend and look forward to one day coming again

The house is absolutely beautiful & so close to Mullins beach & some fantastic restaurants & bars. The house has everything you need, it is clean, tidy & very spacious! We loved having the house pool & the main pool is great with a bar area & comfy sun beds! Marcia & Peter were both lovely & easy to contact. Great stay!

Richard is a super host, he’s communication was exceptional. The space is to view for, a view of the beach and only 7 minutes drive to Sandy Lane and the shops of Holetown. Book this and treat yourself to peace and tranquility.

Amazing stay and definitely coming back !!! Fabulous location walking distance to massys was a huge plus for us !!! The property is perfect spotlessly clean and the private pool was bliss !!!! Both Richard and his local property manager (Tricia) were fabulous with nothing too much trouble. In summary we loved it and cant wait to come back. Absolute gem of a find.

Beautiful location with only 7 units in the complex- felt private and as if we were at a resort location for handful of people. Three couples travelled together and location offers lovely bedrooms and ensuites for all. The three different dining areas were great and we used them all. Plunge pool was lovely and the large pool was terrific and often unused. We used the bbq and cooked a few meals. Daily housekeeping was fabulous. Several restaurants in walking distance and main grocery store a 10minute drive south. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend Merlin Bay if you want a beautiful beachfront location.

A really lovely 4 bedroom home with stunning views from upstairs balconies. The housekeeper was also excellent and waited up to meet us on arrival when we were delayed. It’s location is perfect just behind Mullins Beach and also felt very secure. Highly recommended and hope we can return one day.
