Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Saint John

A hidden GEM! Jan provided everything we needed. More importantly, we felt right at home.

I’ve stayed at a variety of Airbnb properties in St Thomas and Haagensen House is my favorite for its uniqueness and privacy. The property manager, Harold, met me near the airport to ensure I found my way - I encourage future renters to do the same as nav systems can be spotty on the island. The decor was refreshing and nailed the old town vibe of Charlotte Amalie - I loved the colors and wood details throughout. The entry garden is breathtaking and the expansive patio overlooking the water was such a pleasant surprise - I couldn’t believe it was all mine. The AC in the bedrooms worked well and at night, there was a nice breeze if you kept the doors open in the main space. The hosts are the NICEST people!! I travel with my small dog and finding dog friendly accommodations in STT is very difficult. We were welcomed with open arms. They were so thoughtful, following up to make sure we were settled okay and didn’t need anything. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St. John. Isa was so friendly and welcoming, always offering helpful recommendations and suggestions. She always made sure we had everything we need. Her home is beautiful and was the perfect place to stay on the island. The place was peaceful and her artwork was stunning. We would absolutely come back and stay here again. Thanks Isa!

Absolutely worth whatever is charged! The landscaping is so beautiful, the residence is immaculate, the hosts anticipated our every need, and we felt very safe and protected. The pool is amazing as are the views. Nearby grocery stores made it easy to prepare meals when we wanted to eat in. Easy to drive to restaurants. Cannot say enough good things about this villa. Brittany and Robert were quick to respond to any questions we had. Trust their recommendations. We spent a great day on a cruse to the British Virgin Islands with Justin, one of the captains of Salty Daze. It was wonderful and highly recommended to us by Brittany.

Place was great! Easy to find and Theresa helped me w/ the door code in a pinch (my fault not reading the instructions carefully 🫣).

I don’t have adequate words so soon after leaving to express the feeling that stays with me after being at orchid house for a week. All I can say is that my heart is full. If you are a person who isn’t looking for fancy, and whose idea of contentment is lying in a hammock listening to all the sounds of life teeming around you, this is a place you’ll never want to leave. Wonderful hosts and truly an extraordinary place. A work of art in every way. So grateful to have experienced it!

Just wow!!! We’ve been coming to the islands for about 30 years, mostly staying in St. John… but the views from this villa were the best we have ever had! The villa was just extremely practical and homey! The king beds and cold AC helped us to recover from long days of hikes, snorkels, beaches, and shopping! The decor was so nice and we loved the live plants and orchids! We enjoyed the huge tv as we watched the college World Series in the evenings. The breezes through the villa were very relaxing! We will plan to come again! Thanks Michael for being so helpful, attentive, and quick to respond!

We had a wonderful stay at Thomas’s place! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Long Bay and a reasonable distance from Smuggler’s Cove, our favorite beach on Tortola. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. You may be hard-pressed to cook a big meal, but the kitchen was fine for making breakfast, which is all we did there. A shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom and a window curtain in the middle-floor bedroom’s bathroom would have been helpful additions, but overall, we truly enjoyed our time here.

We really enjoyed our stay! The view from the house is incredible, and the amenities provided basically every possible need. We enjoyed the provided beach chair, beach shade, beach towels, snorkel gear, cooler with ice packs, provided snacks, and more! The kitchen had pretty much any appliance and gadget you could need or want, plus Tupperware for prepping beach snacks and lunch. The location was great just up the hill from groceries and restaurants and a short drive from the national park and beaches. The pool area and view from it were terrific. It has to be one of the better sunset watching spots in the island. When we come back to St. John we would easily consider staying here again.

Maria and Chloe were such great hosts! Their prompt communication and local recommendations were simply the best and made us feel right at home! They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and we did! The place was absolutely beautiful with hands down the best views on the island!! If you're looking for a private place to stay with truly million dollar views and taking a dip in your own private pool, don't look any further and book this right away! You will be extremely impressed with this place! Thank you Maria and Chloe for making our vacation memorable!! We will be back!

This place is a gem! So peaceful and private. The views are spectacular, if you want a more quiet and relaxed area this is it. Plenty of beaches nearby under 10 min and great food options about 18 min away. We really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t have asked for a better host and home ☺️

Absolutely Perfect Stay at Just Peachy! Our stay at Just Peachy in St. John was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views of the mountains and ocean—it truly felt like paradise. The villa itself was immaculate, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Melissa, our host, was phenomenal! She was incredibly responsive, always just a message away, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Whether it was providing great local recommendations, answering any questions we had, or simply ensuring we felt at home, her hospitality was unmatched. Waking up to breathtaking sunrises, lounging on the patio with the cool island breeze, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings made this trip unforgettable. We had a wonderful 2 week stay. Ms Jackie was so helpful and always available to answer our questions and provide suggestions. It was exactly what we wanted and needed.

If I could give Kandee's place 10 stars, I would. The photos don't do this place justice. When you open the front door the view is breath taking. Kandee has thought of everything to make your stay so easy. So many beach and pool toys and all the kitchen appliances and cooking spices etc you need. She was incredibly helpful when we had an issue with the lock on the bedroom building and fixed the issue right away. This place is split in to 3 levels, upstairs is living, a separate buidling down a level has bedrooms, then the pool is on the level below. All with amazing views. We watched the sunrise over the bay every morning from the bed, incredible. The photos don't do this place justice. Go ahead and book right away. And don't forget your 4 wheel drive for the drive up to the property and around the island in general.

We had a wonderful time taking advantage of the nearby Smuggler’s Bay and Long Bay Beach. In the afternoon, the kids played in the pool. The house provided all we needed to cook at home and a quick drive to great restaurants. Heather was always available for questions. Thank you!!!

True Story was by far the best place we have stayed at on St John. It was like a mini resort with a centralized living area that contained the perfect living room dinning room laundry room kitchenette and kitchen fully equipped for all of our needs. It was nice to have it separated from the living room so that noise could not be heard by the early risers or late nighters hanging out. The bedrooms were in 2 separate buildings off the main living area. All 3 bedrooms were fully equipped and comfortable. The bedroom off the pool had the most amazing outdoor shower! Beds were comfortable and the double sinks were perfect for couples getting ready together. The porch/pool were so large with comfortable sitting areas and the views were like a dream! We had iguana visitors in the trees next to the pool that added a little more st john magic to our trip. The hosts were SO responsive and accommodating to any questions/needs we had. I'd give this place 11 out of 10 stars. Absolutely perfect 👌

The Villa was lovely with fantastic views and great to have your own pool. Well equipped with all the mod cons and great air con. Dawn was fantastic and gave very clear instructions and pro actively checked in with me prior my arrival. The location is 5 mins drive from the most beutiful bar and restaurant 1748, the restaurant next to that Tropic fusion was good as well with fantastic views as you are literally sitting on the beach or the swings at the bar. It was very much Tom cuise beach bar vibes in the film Cocktail but better. Your only 5 minutes away from the West End Port which takes you to Jost Van D, which i cant reccomend enough, just get the 10am ferry to make the most of the beach bar festivities. You will need to higher a car no matter where you are on the island so location is not a big deal, Nanny Cay is also a great place to go and if you land in beef island do a day in Virgin Gorda straight away. Only negative is the roads are unmade but u get used to it. 100% stay here

Just as described. Beautiful view. Host was very proactive with directions, recommendations and instructions. Apple Maps took us right there, but if not very precise instructions were shared ahead of time! Close enough to beaches, restaurants, the national park and shopping, but was also peaceful and secluded! WiFi was a little spotty but we weren’t there for the WiFi (again the views of the back porches!!!)

This is an incredible place for an incredible price! The view and the outdoor space alone really made the trip special! This place is in a great quiet location to explore the national park as well as many of the more under-appreciated beaches. Everything that we could have possibly needed during the trip was provided. Bonny even left us a few gallons of drinking water so that we had some when we arrived. Bonny is an incredible host, answered all of our questions, and provided great recommendations on where to buy food and go out to eat, best places to rent snorkeling gear, as well as things to do and see in St. John! The Airbnb is on the smaller side, there are some friendly critters that like to join you, and the power sometimes goes out, however this is a great place for people looking for an affordable place to stay with a spectacular view. You won’t find this value anywhere else on St. John!

Chris was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions. She also gave us local recommendations and had a cooler and beach chairs available for us to take to the local beaches.

I loved my stay here, the space was beautiful, clean and has sm character. Despite having AC the home stayed cool with the many windows and fans. The driver that Bg recommends got us everywhere we needed to go and always prompt. Overall would love to go back to ST. Thomas just to stay at this Airbnb so peaceful and quiet ugh a dream!!

We had a wonderful stay in Cruz Bay. The location of the studio was perfect! It is just about a five minute walk from all of the restaurants and the ferry. It was close enough for us to walk to the ferry where the taxis are and grab a ride to any of the beautiful north shore Beaches. Everything was as described. The host even picked us up from the ferry for easy check-in! We would stay here again.

Claudia was great and very responsive. Also gave helpful info for the ferry and jeep rentals. Curtis, the property manager was also great and helped us with a jeep and fishing & snorkel charter recommendations. Just good people that took good care of us. I'd highly recommend Claudia.
