This family retreat was built in 1949 as a resting place, a place to recharge, to gather in the comfort of yourself, family and friends. 5 generations have protected this purpose, and it is unwavering. It is a sacred place to all who know the roost these past 75 years. We share it with you so that you may also benefit from her healing walls.

Home Away From Home

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. You will be 1 mile from Magic Springs, 3 miles from the Hot Springs Off-Road Park, and 3 miles to Downtown Hot Springs. Please note, there is a very old and very nice dog named Eddie that stays on the property. We want to allow Eddie to live his last years in peace where he has always lived. Our home is a level lot just feet from Balboa Lake, the largest lake in the village. The Village has eight well maintained golf courses and several lakes. We are surrounded by trees which turn magnificent colors in the fall. We are on paved roads and you will have no trouble accessing us. There is a great tennis facility with 12 clay courts and pickle ball courts are also available. The beach area is near us.

Vennie's Garden Cottage

Our cottage is light and airy and has a beautiful wooded setting. It is located near our family garden and is not part of a subdivision. It is situated next to our antique barn and is on land that has been in our family for generations. You will have self check in and will enjoy coffee, and tea. As your hosts, we are just across the street and down the road if you need us for anything.
