Altar of the Mountains

This traditional Oaxacan house, that has four beds, was handcrafted by local artisans in exquisite adobe walls, a shading porch, furnishings and decor. It nestles in gardens of trees and blooming succulents. Guests enjoy multiple level terraces, hammocks, an outside dining area, a 22-meter lap pool and spectacular mountain views. We are in a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and have easy transportation to Oaxaca city (20 minutes). We offer tours to villages and archaeological sites.

Casa MaryFer is located 1.5 km from Oaxaca City's International Airport and 10.3 km from the city's Zócalo and Santo Domingo church. What sets it apart is that it is located in the tranquility of a picturesque village, as well as the friendliness of its people and their traditions. The Mexican-style decoration offers its guests the comfort and friendliness of "being at home", in addition to having a temazcal bath for 6 people and therapeutic massages (at an extra cost and by appointment).

Our house is a traditional hacienda-type house. The guest bedrooms have their only entries through the outside patio. The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

The house is located in the center of the city of Oaxaca, just a few blocks away, you will find basic services such as: hospitals, markets, service stores, restaurants, museums, parks, churches, etc.

Beautiful house with an excellent and strategic location, ideal for exploring the 3 tourist areas of Oaxaca on foot. It is located in one of the safest areas of the city of Oaxaca, just a 3-minute drive from the Jalatlaco neighborhood (7-minute walk), a 5-minute drive from the historic center (12-minute walk) and a 5-minute drive from Xochimilco (10-minute walk). The house is remodeled, very spacious and has a beautiful garden and decoration inspired by the magueyes.

All kinds of public transportation pass by on the road: bus, van, or taxi.

The accommodation has three clean, spacious, and comfortable bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and dressing room, and is part of the main house. It has a small living room and kitchenette open to the outside. Spacious common areas, a pool, and parking are available. Ideal for families. We are located in Santa María del Tule, an ideal location for exploring Oaxaca (Ciclo Via, Ruta del Mezcal, and Tlacolula Valley), 20 minutes from the city center.
