La Maga - Mindo, Ecuador

We had a wonderful 7-night stay at La Maga. The place is as described and as seen in the pictures. We agree with all of the previous reviews, in that the place is surrounded by nature. We had monkeys come visit one morning and saw various Toucan birds near the house. Our favorite part was walking the path to town each day where we encountered more birds. There are other paths to nearby to explore, so bring a light/torch for a self-guided night walk. This place is perfect for nature lovers. The place was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking your own meals (although there are many good restaurants in town). There is hot water for the showers. Martita was a great and responsive host and was available for my questions.

Breathe pure air in our Sacha Urco Lodge nature reserve. Our new ecological cabin is super cozy, comfortable, with a unique design, located in the middle of trees and mountains.
