It should be noted that, taking into account that the two floors are connected by an interior staircase, it is not advisable for families with young children. It also has a totally unobstructed view of the bays and parishes of the beautiful and indented north coast of Pico on your left.The interior space, in open spacestyle ,is modern and relaxed sophisticated, with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room. As if that were not enough, there is an additional treat: on the left side you will experience a sunset of those surreal and sublime - perfect and unforgettable. All rooms with a view and the living room with ceiling-to-floor glass sliding doors that open the interior to the exterior. Bearing in mind that Casa do Ilhéu is on a slope, it is not recommended for people with motor difficulties and small children. We got to know Pico and fell in love with the island. We bought a house and went to live on the island. We rented the entire house on the 1st floor and lived in an apartment on the property. As travelers, we respect the privacy of our guests. It is a traditional house on the island, with all the charm of a typical Pico house, but with all the comforts for a family vacation. Sea and mountain view 300 meters from the Arinhas bathing area and with the São João trail just 30 meters from the house.

Nemo's Corner

We are a Portuguese family that knows all the islands of the Azores, and completed in August 2018 this retreat, to get away from our busy lives in London. Until the day comes that we can enjoy it full time, we have decided to share the amazing space we have created with others that love the nature, mountain and sea that is always surrounding us. The house is within Prainha, the most beautiful parish of Pico Island, and within close proximity to the beach, restaurants, grocery store and bakery.

It's really worth waking up to see the sunrise!

Grandfather Francisco's House

Once a traditional wine cellar, built by Francisco Paulo in 1980, this villa served for many years as a production site and warehouse for the Paulo family's wine. The wine cellar has been remodeled and expanded, but it maintains the traditional elevations and the decoration and details of the times when it was used as a wine cellar. Next to the bathing area, it has a view that invites long nights of conversation.
