Luís had me feel welcome from the start! I had trouble navigating myself, but Luís assisted me and I got there in the end :) the house is so cute, perfect situated and has everything you need. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for tranquility! Luís Shop, filled with local goods and especially his world class chestnut honey is definitely worth a stop while you’re there.

Beautiful home located in a small village but close to everything . Lake Azibo for hiking, Macedo de Cavaleiro for refueling, everything you need for a very nice stay. We did not regret our choice . Let's recommend it without hesitation

Nice detached cottage in the middle of the city and along the river. Nice garden with swimming pool, terrace in the shade. Everything clean and tidy. Glad the dog was allowed to come. Enclosed garden. Nice walking route directly from the house over a wooden jetty. Very thoughtful and responsive hosts. They quickly resolved a problem with a door handle. I definitely recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us several useful directions from the beginning. We felt at home — the space is very comfortable, cozy, well decorated and with everything we needed to enjoy a few quiet days. The Casa do Outro Mundo is, in fact, from another world! A unique place, full of charm and attention to every detail. The village, although small, has a special charm. We were always warmly welcomed by the locals and even our Arya 🐶 made new friends! We recommend it without hesitation and hope to return.

We love the stay and all the space around, with an incredible landscape of the Douro River. The spaces, despite being clean and making us feel at home, require renovation of some utensils such as beds, sofa and fridge. However, it was amazing! We recommend it!!!

A very special and place. Everything has been thought of and a unique, historically beautiful village to stay in. The house and the garden very comfortable. Contact with André super, very helpful and fast. Slept well and all the details have been thought of. You won't be short of anything.

The stay in Miren's apartment was very good. Everything was clean and the location was excellent. Parking and places of interest right next door. The host is very communicative and answers questions quickly and accurately.

We had a very pleasant stay. The apartment is cozy, very accessible on foot or by bus, close to the center but very quiet. Victor and his partner are very friendly, welcoming, the information they provided us about the environment and restaurants was very good. We really appreciated the little touches that change everything, as well as their availability (we arrived late and left early on a Sunday morning...). This was a magical week spent at Luis’s apartment. We attribute so much of our enjoyment to his engagement with us from the start to even after our stay, making sure we arrived at our following destination. Luis loves his city as evidenced by his passion and knowledge for its history, cuisine, local Toro wine and every detail and event of Semana Santa. Luis and Miriam helped us navigate the city for the week’s events guiding us to the best locations for observing the processions and the best places to enjoy the food and wine of this beautiful city. His apartment is spotless, well equipped and mattresses are very comfortable. The location is superb, close to the historic center and paths along the river. A Birder’s delight crossing the bridge to the river bank path! We have traveled the globe and with over 60 stays in Airbnbs and never has a host spent so much time and effort ensuring our stay and experience was TOP. Luis went above and beyond! MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Jose’s place, (Pedro is the Son of), has a lovely home in a quiet friendly village. The home was relatively easy to find, (could do with an Airbnb sign on the corner of the property, to help weary travellers). Once arrived and settled in, Jose is a BRILLIANT host, so welcoming, so generous and the home is comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed a meal in a neighbouring town, that Jose, happily booked for us, but there is all the available gear to cook for yourself. The area is close to the Duoro river, and Jose gives so many options for activities for this area. He is very passionate about the history and his town. We would recommend this home to anyone who is in the area.

We only stayed one night because we went specifically to see an event in Vinhais, however, it's very nice. Large house, with everything needed for a longer stay. Beautiful views, very clean and arranged house. Quiet place and close to several places of interest. D. Paula is very friendly and responsive to messages. It was a short stay, but we really liked the hostess and the house.
