Quiet beautiful 1 bd/1 bath close to Granite Peak!

The room & bathroom were fine, but the bathroom was not directly attached to the bedroom - it was a separate room right next to the bedroom. Their cat was a bit disconcerting to me as it followed me up to the room & into the bathroom; I had to trick the cat to go outside into the hallway with me to get it to go out of the bedroom & then I quickly went into the bedroom & closed the door before it could follow me in! But it was very friendly & didn't make any noise, so no big deal. The treads of the stairs up to the bedroom & bathroom were narrow (not deep enough so that the heel of my size 11 shoe hung over the front edge of the tread), making it a bit tricky going up the stairs & even trickier going down the stairs without falling. Most of the stairs had a handrail on one side, but the stairs near the top did not. I would recommend that a handrail be added for those steps. I only stayed one night & the price was quite reasonable. I would stay again the next time I visit Wausau.

We enjoyed our stay at Laura 's place. She had everything a family could want. Peaceful, quiet neighborhood and walkable to the Mosinee Brewery and River Park. It had a big, private backyard with patio, gas firepit and furniture. We felt right at home and Laura was responsive and very, warm and friendly. She genuinely wanted us to enjoy our visit and we did. I would certainly recommend her home and stay again.

Had to be in town for a few days of appointments. It's quite a drive for us, so I decided to book an AirBNB. I booked Kathleens place after learning that my go to BNB was occupied during the time that we needed. Kathleens place will just have to go on my list of BNB options in the area. The place was more than I even expected... I don't think the listing does the space justice. I will admit that if you are after brand new, squeaky clean, sterile conditions this might not be the place for you. It was absolutely clean in every way that mattered but had a vintage cabin charm that you just cannot get with "sterile" We felt right at home, and I would not have it any other way. I was able to DoorDash some groceries and make pancakes in the morning! I forgot a couple things but found that the things I needed had already been left in the kitchen. What hotel could we have done that at? Kathleens place is a great example of what I love about AirBNB. Would recommend this stay to anyone.

Hot Tub & Private Sauna: Wausau Family Home

The owner of the property was very helpful she sent me a text before my arrival day and asked if we needed anything. The house looked similar to the picture. It was a big house alot of space plenty of room for the 4 of us which is 2 couples and our dog. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook with. The coffee was supplied which is a nice touch. There was portable fans and one portable heater upstairs in the bedroom which is needed. There is a pond to swim in but we did not feel comfortable in doing so and it was not that hot. We had a great time staying in this spacious house and really like the location because it is close to town but not too close to all the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed walking around the property.

I absolutely loved my stay here. It was even more private than I anticipated (that's not currently another rental on the other side of the fence) and the pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the grounds are. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the queen bed was comfortable. There was some traffic noise, being right off a county road, but not enough to make it not feel peaceful and quiet. I will be back!
