The swimming pool was built from an old granite water tank with a view from the river just up to the sea. The house of "Sítio de Froufe" is located in Lugar de Froufe, in the parish of S. Miguel between both rivers in the municipality of Ponte da Barca, geographically within the territory of the Peneda Gerês National Park. What is now the "Sítio de Froufe" was for many years used as a shelter for animals and storage for agricultural products.
