The view from the house was absolutely breathtaking — it truly felt like a piece of paradise. The sunset was stunning, and during the day the landscape was beautiful, while at night the sky was full of stars. The host was incredibly kind and even shared freshly harvested pumpkin and lettuce with us. Although there was no air conditioning, the natural breeze through the open windows kept the entire house pleasantly cool. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature and beauty, I highly recommend this place.

Margarida bungalows are absolutely beautiful. They are spacious and had everything we could have wanted. Margarida was very responsive to any questions and proactively suggested things to do and the best restaurants around the area. Margarida's brother Louis hosted us for a wine tasting in the vineyard the bungalows are in and we absolutely loved his passion for the process and delicious wines. We can't recommend this place more!

My stay was exactly what I was looking for. Delightful environment, gracious host, incredible views and serenity. Mario and his daughter Catarina are exceptional hosts, warm and welcoming, gracious, kind and helpful, going the extra mile to ensure my stay was perfect. I swam in the river, walked through the vineyards, even kayaked to the nearby restaurant across the river. I can’t recommend the Quinta enough. And to top it all off, the food, ambience and wines were delicious! Also, the bed with its crisp white linens was so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I can’t wait until I return! It was a stay that fed my mind, body and soul and the memories created continue to fill my heart.

What a wonderful stay we had at Maria's! She literally welcomed us with open arms with a delicious lunch on her balcony with a beautiful view over the garden and the beautiful green hills. On the same balcony, we enjoyed an extensive and lovingly prepared breakfast every morning. The place is really great and especially the garden, which is like a paradise, full of fruit trees, olives, grapes, vegetables, herbs and other plants and flowers. There are nice seats everywhere to enjoy the wonderful garden with the beautiful view. And then Maria, a rare sweet, warm and caring woman. Everything she does feels sincere and straight from the heart. She was almost like a mother to us and like a grandmother to our daughter. It was not easy to say goodbye after 6 days, but we take the best memories with us. Thank you very much dear Maria!

We had a wonderful stay at Ines. She was very welcoming and service-minded. The place was clean and nice, and there was good breakfast and delicious supply throughout the day. For those who want peace, quiet and a few days away from the hustle and bustle, this is the ideal place! With a privileged view over the Douro, barbecue and a pool that reached 29º, what more could we ask for? The house was clean, the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked smoothly and they left us some treats (more than was even needed) for our breakfast. Thank you! The host was super accessible, friendly and concerned and took us on his boat for a ride on our beautiful Douro River. I highly recommend it!

Everything was great & we got great recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, we met at a nearby cafe and were escorted to the accommodation. We were very warmly welcomed on site and received the first information. After half of the stay, we even got fresh towels. Unfortunately, two things are not apparent from the description: the view of the lake is obscured by trees & you have direct neighbors. But that didn't bother us & we would come again and again!

The village in which the house is located is very cute, and quiet, there was only one other couple of residents there. The porch of the house has a spectacular view, we woke up with the birds and looked at the river, on the last day there were 3 cruises but are very quiet, it is possible to walk around safely. It is a place to rest, there are 2 nearby restaurants, however, one is closed at this time of the year. The nearest town is 20 minutes by car, is pleasant and you can find markets, restaurants, pharmacy and bakeries. We love the stay, a lot of peace. Thank you.
