Beachfront holiday rental in Selemadeg Barat

We had a truly beautiful and peaceful stay at The Hidden Well in Medewi. The location is perfect—tucked away right on the beach, offering a tranquil escape while still being close to town and the famous surf breaks. The villa had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, and we loved that there were great restaurants just a short walk or drive away. A special thanks to the wonderful local family who helps run the property—they really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for throughout our time there. We highly recommend joining the cooking class and buffalo walk—both were such unique and memorable experiences. Narina has also done an incredible job organizing everything with clear, detailed information that made everything so easy.

Wow! My kids said it best when they walked in “I didn’t know Balinese style can be so beautiful”. And on the last day, they asked if we could come back to “the most beautiful AirBnB” they have ever stayed in! The Balinese styled pool is just stunning and water is always warm and inviting . We love lounging by the pool, listening to the coos of the birds, and relaxing (much better than any beach club in Bali!). We enjoyed breakfast at Mewali 2 min walk away, and sunset walks 5 min away at Seseh beach. Check out Alus Warung or Pantai Warung Seseh on the beach around sunset time nearby too. Location is so tranquil yet only abt 12 min away to the trendy shops and restaurants of Pererenan. What a wonderful stay with friendly staff. We felt really well taken care of and safe throughout our stay. Special thanks to Sri who is always kind, and very responsive! It was such a restful stay and we love to be back!

Although expensive compared to some of the other places in Bali, this was an incredible find. The grounds were immaculate. The villa and buildings were exquisite. The main villa was incredible. The staff catered to our every need while completely blending into the background. All it took was a quick text, and they were there. Meals were selected from the personal menu and prepared for us to dine whenever, and wherever we chose. I'm really not sure what they could do to improve on this Gem.

Incredible view, beautiful and clean property, very well-equipped with everything you may need! Highly recommend! Just be ready to walk about 5-8 minutes to get to the villa, which includes walking down some stairs to get there.

I stayed with Nyoman and his family for nearly 3 weeks. My stay was fantastic in every way. The villa was very comfortable, really clean and a stones throw from the oceon. The villa location was in front of Nyomans family compound and so provided a wonderful opportunity to learn about local village life and also an incredibly peaceful, secluded space as required. Nyoman has been instrumental in the local coral regeneration program and of course fishes. Opportunities to snorkel or scuba dive, go out fishing and or see dolphins AND learn about coral regeneration abound. I loved my experiences of all of it! The village also makes salt traditionally along the shore line. Made, Nyomans wife, is a wonderful cook and works at the local cooking school. There is a warung /restaurant 3 minutes walk away offering great vegetarian and vegan options. A perfect stay with an authentic, caring, wonderful family in every way and highly recommended. Went here for my honeymoon, stayed a week and the place was astonishingly beautiful; did took me a couple of days to get used to the open concept but wow. It’s easily the best Airbnb that I have ever rented. Having said that, I have that opinion cuz I had the mindset that I was going to an Airbnb, not a hotel. There are some issues that I let pass because of how cool the place is, for example the place is fully open, there are no doors, that includes the bathroom. Also, because of the open concept, you might see some of the local fauna inside the house, nothing dangerous, the same animals you might find on your garden. They are nice enough to ask you at what time you want the cleaning. Breakfast is not included but they offer the service if you want to pay for it. It’s cheap and good. Wayan it’s an amazing host, she gave us recommendations of places to go, called for transport to pick us up and even helped us find some tours like snorkel. We would love to come back.

It's just amazing! This is the best trip I've ever had! The butler was very responsible and the food was delicious. The view from the room was just wonderful, with a black sand beach right at the door. At night, the sky was full of stars and the swimming pool was also very fun! If I have the chance, I will definitely recommend this house to my friends!

House was very roomy, located in very peaceful and private surroundings. Great and deep pool, but could also dive directly into the warm sea. But the best of the home was Elly, who made sure we had a very relaxed and worryfree holiday. Big shout out for her cooking skills, so no need to look for any restaurants.

It was a great villa.The pool and bedroom were also lovely.The nearby restaurant was absolutely delicious.The staff all have lovely smiles.They were kind to me. Happy

The house was so nice and very clean. It was so nice to have a pool right on the ocean. We spent a good part of our stay in and around the pool enjoying the numerous views. We miss waking up every morning to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. The house is in a very quiet and remote area away from any busy roads or noise which made sleeping very easy. I was blown away with the staff. Made is a great driver and guide and just a wonderful person. He was very good at explaining and showing us his culture. Merci was a wonder cook and was always looking out for us and our kids. Made and Merci really immersed us into the Bali culture and explained so much to us. Our stay fell upon the New Year and Day of Silence, which Made and Merci arranged our own blessing of the house, sea, transportation, and all people at the house! They are the nicest people! Bora Bora was a great restaurant with great staff and delicious food. Can't say enough! Looking forward to our next stay!

Adi's villa was perfect for our group. He was super responsive and helpful with all of our questions! The local caretaker, Kadek, was so helpful and treated us amazingly well. He was able to seamlessly rent us the 5 scooters that we wanted for our stay. Definitely opt for him to cook you at least 1 meal! We had 2 meals and they were delicious! So worth it! Also, Mudiarse and his nephew Putu (or Putu's wife Jessy) drove us to and from the airport and on day trips when we preferred to be in a car or for longer excursions. They are such nice and genuine people as well and we were treated like family! The villa is right between 2 great surf beaches that are a short scooter ride away in either direction, but you can also surf next to the house! The beach near the house was beautiful and quiet. We loved the more authentic experience in West Bali. Hopefully we can come back and visit next year!

We loved the place! Beautiful surroundings, and right next to a beautiful beach, great for long walks. Extremely peaceful - West Bali and Medewi are hidden gems. We often went to the next-door Kelapa Retreat and Spa for food. Putri was super responsive and helped us with all our needs throughout the entire trip, including arranging surfing and transportation. Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Stayed in just to enjoy the facilities. Slept well to the sound of the ocean and had the perfect view of sunrise and sunset. The pool was of perfect temperature and was cleaned everyday. Loved the stay here!

Amazing place. The 4 of us stayed at villa Ayu for 5 nights. We had more than enough space, beautiful garden, huge swimming pool, and beach front access. Everything is organised for a stress free experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were taken care by the on-site cook. Dini was super helpful with organising activities. Private balenese dancing, massage, dolphin trip leaving from the beach, taxi, etc. Highly recommended if you are looking to unwind and take a break from everything.

Loved Villa Sansil. Exactly as described but even better in real life. Nyoman and the team took such great care of us. The food was fabulous and everything we needed was an easy ask. Nyoman helped us book a boat trip which was a brilliant day out. The dogs are gorgeous and really added to our enjoyment. WiFi was exceptional. Highly recommend and can only say positive things. I would definitely go back.

Putu is an excellent host. He responds immediately and offers a wealth of advice and recommendations. He helped us out every time we had a problem. Only small downside: we did not understand very well that the taxi service only took us to predefined points, while we pay it by the day, and more expensive than most other taxi services. The place was totally as expected. The photos are totally representative of the place, although the accommodation is even more beautiful. A note on Snorkeling: you must be able to swim well in the current to be able to get to the spot. Finally, for meals, we loved the Amok Sunset restaurant, accessible with a free shuttle from the hotel and with very reasonable prices and a beautiful view. However, the breakfast at the café next to the hotel, included in the stay, was a little disappointing in view of the overall standing of the hotel.

We spent a day (much too short) at this wonderful villa with stunning ocean views…and the sound of the waves, absolute relaxation +++!!! Very welcoming and responsive host!! You can go there without a second thought. Recommends 1000%

WOW, just WOW. what an amazing experience staying at such a gorgeous property! I loved every minute of this stay!! Very luxurious villa with stunning views and surroundings. From the moment i arrived Tatiana, Melan, Rico and the team were attentive, helpful, very lovely and welcoming. Had a welcoming drink on the deck overlooking the dreamy beach as the sun set which was magical. Private chef that not only sources local produce on request of your meal, the meals were better than going to a restaurant! The Villa was so spacious, with immaculate attention to detail with the interior design. Every room had its own hidden gem, like outdoor shower/bath whilst maintaining privacy. So close to secluded and picturesque beaches and unique dining experiences. 2 days was definitely not enough time to enjoy this place fully. 10/10 would recommend.

I would give Tropical Doors 10 stars! It really was a perfect vacation for family of 7. The Villa is fabulous and the beach view incredible. The hosts were available from early morning thru the evening and arranged transportation from the ferry, scooter rentals, laundry service, private boat for getting us to our hiking location and a private snorkeling tour. Location was great - we walked to restaurants and the spa. Highly recommend!

The most amazing location and view ,super comfy beds , cafes and restaurants in walking distance , few soft drinks and bottle of wine in the fridge and lovely helpful staff. Incredibly hard place to leave. We’d be back in a flash .
