The Anderson House

Experience the charm of Southern Illinois in the peaceful comfort of The Anderson House, a newly renovated 2-bed, 2-bath home with roots dating back to 1932. Featuring a full kitchen, an open floor plan, and inviting outdoor spaces, The Anderson House offers a perfect retreat for relaxation or exploration. A short walk across the grounds leads to a small coffee roastery, farmland, and a state forestry park, where guests can immerse themselves in outdoor activities or enjoy a delicious coffee.

Serene country stay. Great for a couple, an outdoorsman, or travelers! Includes use of pond, fishing poles, kayaks, and hiking trail. Our pet ducks roam freely about. Use of gas grill, firepit and firewood. Bow target available upon request. This cabin is located on our 20 acre property, less than 10 minutes from Rend Lake, I57 access, and public hunting land and within 1 hour of the Shawnee National Forest. Its a 12x20 studio cabin with 1 full bed and 1 twin foam couch. We don't allow pets.

With less than 5 miles to the nearest boat ramp, this home is great for those who want to fish on Rend Lake (our area is great for hunting, too). Hardwood floors, porcelain tile (including a heated bathroom floor), leather furniture and a gas fireplace make the inside clean and relaxing. A spacious paved patio with plenty of seating and a charcoal grill make the outside just as enjoyable! Single night stays during peak season can be requested on a case by case basis. This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

Relax with the whole family in this newly renovated retreat in woods on lake point. Sip coffee on second story patio with a nearly 360 view of the private lake, where you will see ducks and geese, as well the occasional bald eagle or swan. Enjoy a walk in the woods and don't be surprised to see deer out front. Fish the stocked lake off of our roughly 2,000 feet of shoreline. We have a 2000 sq. ft. home located on 3 acres in a very country setting. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, master bed room has queen size bed, second bedroom has full size bed and third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Large master bath with large soaking tub and shower. Spacious kitchen is set up to cook if you like, . The back porch over looks the woods and fields with lots of deer siting. Our location is very quit and peaceful. also there is a garage you have access to.

This house was in my husband's family. His mother, Marie, moved in when she was 6 months old in 1917. This house holds a lot of great memories for me! A perfect stay for family reunions, homecomings and vacations! We have a complete kitchen, one and a half baths and 3 bedrooms to make your stay comfortable and access to the internet and TV.
