Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sheffield District

Our second year staying here for our 'hiking reunion', perfectly placed to walk out the door and explore the surrounding peaks, this year we hit the Stanage Edge hike. Many thanks!

We had a lovely weekend break at this cottage. It is beautifully renovated and spacious. Parking was great and the garden was lovely and enclosed for pets. The home made lemon drizzle cake on arrival was such a warm welcome. It’s situated in a very pretty village with easy access to walks straight from the cottage and some lovely pubs. I would highly recommend it and as there is so much more to explore we will definitely be returning to this cottage. It’s the perfect location for so much the Peak District has to offer.

The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated and equipped with modern kitchenware and thoughtful touches. Lucy was very flexible regarding our early arrival time and talked us through our concerns about the hilly nature of the walk down to the river. Our neighbours and everyone in the village was friendly with tea rooms and pubs and shops all within walking distance. The 10 minute drive to Bakewell and larger supermarkets was easy. Parking was not always easy but we usually found a space and if not, found the Car Park available about 5 mins walk away for a suggested contribution. June 21-28 was Well Dressing week - same time of year every year - and we wish we had been aware of this when we booked. We loved our trips to nearby Eyam, Edale, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Myself, my partner and our dog had a wonderful few days at Bridgefoot cottage, the photos don't do it justice is is bigger than it looks and so cosy. the garden is such a gem our dog loved it, fully enclosed and the hot tub was perfect after a long walk in the morning. Cottage itself was pristine, full of character and had everything we needed so we didn't need to contact the host for anything additional but I'm sure he would have been quick to help if we needed it. We cooked most nights but did order from the Indian (menu in the welcome book) which was a lovely change, we also walked into Calver and had some cake from the cafe there next to the Spar shop which was delicious. Great location with lots of beautiful walks nearby, one starting over the bridge and another if you turn left out of the cottage and continue down the lane you will pass through sheep fields and find yourself at Froggat woods. It truly felt like a home away from home and we would love to return in the future

Really enjoyed our stay at Bridge Cottage. The cottage was nice and roomy. Comfy bed and kitchen well equipped. Easy check in. The village is lovely. Would definitely stay at the cottage again.

What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. We have just stayed here for our honeymoon, eckington is so beautiful!! it’s a great little lodge to stay in & the hot tub is an added bonus and great after long days of walking etc. it was a good hub for all the outside activities most places like chatsworth, Bakewell, hardwick hall, Matlock and so on were between 20-40mins drive away so perfect for the day trips out. There were some lovely pubs and a little Italian in the village & Aldi is literally around the corner to stock up the fridge! The lodge itself was very clean, and a well equipped kitchen for at home meals/lunch making for days out. The only addition I would say that a spare blanket would be lovely for when chilling on the sofa! Rebecca was wonderful and anything you needed she was more than happy to accommodate! Would 100% recommend for a doggie or non doggie holiday away 🦮🐶

Exactly as a described and a great stay. A really quirky property that proved much more fun for a work trip than a hotel. Colin was easy to get hold of and helped with the stay

Beautiful caravan in a stunning location Ashbourne heights caravan park is lovely, very well maintained. Spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable and cosy, decking with chairs is a great addition especially with the weather we had. Walking from the door step, we did Thor’s cave circular and stepping stones, tissington trail is just off the site entrance so no need to drive anywhere. Honestly one of the best family weekends we have had will be booking again in the future ❤️

Beautiful cottage set in wonderful grounds with a playhouse for the little ones. The pool was great too. Such a great place to stay, and under 10 minutes from Ashbourne. Around 30 mins to kid friendly hiking/walking in the Dales. Highly recommend.

Lovely cosy house which was clean and tidy. This was our second stay at Homestead and we will be coming back.

Loki's Lodge was amazing. Sarah really went above and beyond with all the bits she includes in the accommodation to make your stay home from home. It was spotlessly clean, really comfortable and so nice I forgot it was a static caravan. Sarah added so many lovely touches, including a goody box for the dog with everything you could need. Will definitely be back again! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

Loved our stay, very accommodating, very quiet and cosy. Easy to find and a lovely pub nearby for food. Sadly couldn’t use the pool due to having the dog with us but looked great! Very reasonably priced and nice little farm shop on site. A lovely stay! Also brilliant communication. Thanks

We had such a fabulous stay! What a great place. I think it’s one of the best Airbnb properties I’ve stayed in. Fabulous position, within walking distance to Holmfirth town centre (not for people with good mobility though) but very quaint and quiet with amazing views over the town. Everything has been thought of in the cottage. We had a lovely hamper left for us. All the fixtures, fittings and furniture is good quality. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looks great. Small details have been considered where other properties don’t always, for example a light up make up mirror and a full length mirror. The resident ducks are great fun. Parking is a bit tricky, you need nerves of steel to drive up the road to get there as it’s very narrow but, once you’ve done it once, it’s fine and safe. I would strongly recommend booking this property, it’s beautiful, welcoming and comfortable and I’d definitely like to stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at Megan's place in her cosy and comfortable cottage with lots of natural light. St Nicholas' medieval church at High Bradfield is well worth a visit with it's stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Megan was a great host, easy to communicate with and has a lovely, bright and cheerful manner.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful area. Definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend getaway. Everything was really comfortable and clean.

Very walkable location! We stayed here because of chatsworth house and kept saying how much we love the area! The kitchen was stocked with essentials. The stairs were a little steep but nothing we couldn’t handle with a little bit of caution and the railing. Absolutely lovely stay! Thank you!

We had a great stay at Artemis Barn. It’s beautifully designed and stylishly finished, as well as being comfortable and very clean. Artemis Barn is perfectly located, great for enjoying the wonderful Peak District and with lots of restaurants and tea rooms just a short walk away. Louis is a great host. We would highly recommend.

A beautiful well maintained cottage for two. Very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Rosie popped in to introduce herself and deliver a bottle of wine, crisps and chocolate which was lovely as we only had a two night stay! We would certainly book again if we were in the area.

The location was great, close for shops and pubs/restaurants. Easy parking, friendly host. Great facilities in the cottage. Clean and comfortable. Comfy beds. Would go back for another stay, hopefully longer the next time.

Another lovely stay at Diana's apartment. It has everything you need and is very comfortable - especially the bed: a great night's sleep! It is in a very handy location: on the bus route to get into the city if you don't want to drive, and only a few minutes from the beautiful Peak District. What more could you ask for? I am sure we will be returning.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful location and fantastic renovation of the cottage with modern amenities and a lovely living space upstairs - loved the bench seating. Pub immediately opposite, Schoolrooms / Assembly just two minutes walk away has great food. Village shop and post office is a good place to go get a coffee or tea or to send some postcards! Oh and underfloor heating downstairs - so nice :)
