Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Shelby County

We loved our stay in Waddy. We spent our first day in Bardstown before heading to Airbnb. Then finished our trip in the Frankfort area. It was within 15-20 minutes of Frankfort and only about 50 minutes from Bardstown. We did try to get an Uber on a Saturday night into Frankfort and were unable to secure a ride. I do think if we scheduled it we would have had more success, however. I really loved the location of this spot. It is so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. I will say, however, if you want something in close proximity to the distilleries, might be worth staying in Frankfort or another town. Thankfully we had DDs so it was no issue for us! The backyard was our favorite part, by far. The kitchen had everything we needed really. Would definitely return!

This place was a little bit of heaven and it was extremely clean and just as discribed in the listing. And the backyard was amazing. It is perfect for couples or families with plenty of room. My husband and I really had a peaceful stay and we really got to relax after having very busy lives. I highly recommend this rental. if I could have given this rental more than five stars I would have

We (three old girlfriends) really enjoyed our stay, loved the historical aspects of the house and appreciated the more modern baths and kitchen. Very relaxing and close to the things we wanted to do.

The first Airbnb to exceed my expectations. Very clean. The pictures are the first on Airbnb that don’t make the place look bigger, I was very surprised when I arrived, there is much more common space than I thought. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and have been done well. This was a very comfortable place to stay. Would highly recommend

Toni’s place was exactly as pictured and comfortably fit 8 guests. We appreciated the cleanliness of the home and the amenities (i.e., hot-tub, game room area, and fire pit). This is a great place if you have several guests and want space to spread out as well.

This worked perfect for us! Close to the barn we came to see + easy to find good things to eat. Great mattresses for a good nights sleep! We will stay again!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Bagdad Bootlegger! The house was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. Matt & Carrie were outstanding hosts—friendly, responsive, and super helpful. They answered any questions I had promptly and even went above and beyond by offering multiple great recommendations for when questions arised. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ experience, and it shows in every detail of the home. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommended!

Everything we hoped for and more! There are so many places to hang out and relax both inside and out. We had the perfect mix of togetherness for our party of 9, and the ability to spread out and enjoy smaller groups or solitude. Great location outside Louisville, with plenty to do in the area and nearby grocery options. The kitchen was great and the master bath was luxurious. We loved that each bedroom had king beds! Deb was incredibly responsive, flexible and helpful. Our young adults loved the converted garage (which we dubbed the man cave due to its TV, fridge, pool table and foosball table). All the fun activities in the basement were great. We would definitely stay here again!

My family had a great stay at this beautifully furnished home. It is centrally located within the pristine Norton Commons community, and it is close to many shops and restaurants. Great place to make home base for a trip to Louisville!

We had a wonderful time staying at Jared’s cottage! Felt right at home! There was an issue with the hot tub but he had someone come out right then and there to take care of the issue. Very responsive and flexible!

Our stay was amazing! All accommodations were outstanding. It was our home away from home with our family for the entire weekend. Very peaceful, very clean, and a great view! Jeremy, our host, was very helpful and had a quick response to any questions we had. We have already planned to get this beautiful home again when we come back to the lake!

Matt’s place was centrally located for distillery hopping. Taylorsville lake is a great destination for outdoor recreation. The house was well furnished and very comfortable. The gated community is quiet and off the beaten path. We had a great week and highly recommend.

The house was close to Louisville, easy access to the interstate and the outlet mall was just down the road. Very comfortable and cozy place to stay

Great stay for Father’s Day! Comfortable King Bed and shower was excellent. Kitchen had everything you need to make food with a breeze. Pool table was a hit with my husband. The Televisions .. just Wow in all the spaces. My daughter loved her bedroom with perfect bath!. Our dog was right at home. Milano’s restaurant had great Italian food. The outlet mall for shopping was a breeze to get to. We all had so much fun. Thank you very much Chelle.

Stayed at the Washington Belle for my wedding weekend and it was perfect! Myself and my bridesmaids got ready there and there was plenty of space, light, and rooms to get ready in! Everywhere is decorated so cute and the house is perfectly situated to the Shelbyville Conference Center and the downtown Main Street. We loved staying there and the host is so nice! Such a charming house!

We enjoyed the spacious home with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to relax. The linens, bathrooms, and kitchen were very clean. We appreciated that the home is pet friendly and it was easy to walk our small dogs around the neighborhood. Angus was very responsive to our booking and request. We would stay here again and conveniently located near Shelbyville Country Club.

This was a genuine camping experience in nature. Our grandchildren loved all the nature but especially the free roaming horses. This is definitely a place to totally unplug. Wonderful and helpful hostess.

The property itself was a true gem: impeccably clean, meticulously maintained, and tastefully decorated with an eye for detail. Its central location made it convenient for my adventures while offering a peaceful retreat at the end of each day. The surrounding area exuded safety and tranquility, creating a perfect atmosphere for unwinding. While the distilleries were just a short drive away, I found it hard to leave the house, as the breathtaking scenery and serene ambiance were simply too inviting to resist. The check-in and checkout processes were seamless and straightforward, adding to the overall ease of my stay.
