Kumano City, right next to Atashika Beach, private lodging.Guesthouse Nagano-no-Ie is along the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route

We had a lovely stay at this Air BnB! Atashika is the cutest, most beautiful tiny coastal town and this BnB is a gem. You get the whole place to yourself and it is within a short walking distance of the beach. There aren’t many open restaurants or convenience stores, but it didn’t matter to us because the place itself is so beautiful and peaceful. The BnB has everything you need, including extra thick mats for the floor mattresses in case you need some extra cushion. We loved staying here and highly recommend it!

網ノ屋 Beach House Ezura

EmmaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This house is clean, quiet and cozy. It's been a nice experience to stay for two nights. We enjoy the lobster restaurant and the Italian restaurant nearby. It's about 15 minutes walk to the supermarket and main street. Cooking facilities at the house are convenient too. Davide and Mayu are very friendly and responded quickly to our requests. In the second morning, my mother got fever. Davide drove us to the phamacy and hospital. It's really great to have someone who can support us when there's emergency like this. I really recommend this house if you are looking for a place to stay in Shirahama.

Fireflies began to fly in the river below. The entire ancient house "Makomo House" is for rent, featuring a traditional irori hearth and a Goemon bath.

The rice cooked in the Goemon bath and Habama, the bonfire, and the chorus of fresh greenery and frogs made it an extraordinary and very nice family time. It was an old house, but it was cute and renovated, and it was also clean. They responded politely and quickly to questions before our stay, and of course it was a friendly and very comfortable time during our stay. I'd like to visit you this time during the harvest of Hamako. Thank you.

Overlooking the Yoshino River!You can enjoy BBQ in the sunset and garden.Limited to one group per day!

It was a very nice old house that felt nostalgic, like the game "My Summer Vacation" that was popular in the past! It has a veranda, a BBQ in the garden, and a large living room. As a Japanese, it was a very relaxing inn that reset my mind. There is a full range of appliances and kitchenware, and the bedroom on the 2nd floor is clean. Personally, I would have been very happy if the bathroom had a bathtub, but the room was so nice that I didn't mind. (Because it was sweaty in June and the surrounding hot spring facilities closed at 18:00) Three important points to note for those who are reading this review. ① You cannot drive directly to the front entrance. The parking lot is far away, so you can't park sideways. ② You will need to walk a short distance from the parking lot to the inn and climb a hill, so if you have a large amount of luggage, you will need to divide it into multiple trips. ③ Please be careful if you have weak legs, as the stairs to the 2nd floor have a steep angle with a high step height, which is unique to old private houses. I would like to visit Yoshino again next time.

Stay in a renovated old house to support free schools.

This is a wonderfully renovated traditional Japanese cabin. Best bagels and bread!! Super community and school. Thank you to the kind host Midori and her colleague at the school who showed us around and who bakes the delicious bread. Support them by staying here.

private traditional garden/free shuttle service

What a magical place. Pictures don’t do it justice. The property was beautiful and the room was a peaceful getaway in itself. With the electric bike you can ride up to the end of the road and hike up to the temple which was beautiful. Miko and her staff were fantastic. One day she gave me a ride personally for a hike and an hour later it started to rain. I was prepared to walk all the way back, but she reached out to me herself and asked if I needed a ride , which I took, but I deeply appreciate it that she took initiative and make sure I was taken care of.

Guest house Kisansei Seseragi

Great location and hospitality. There are many historically important historical sites, and the whole family wanted to stay overnight. I would like to stay again soon and take a leisurely tour of Yoshino's historical sites. The inn was very spacious, renovated in the guest house style, and the clean and new tatami mats were very pleasant. Masayuki-san Thanks for your hospitality. Thank you again.

Free-flowing hot spring & 7 minutes to Shirarahama

NaokoRating, 5 stars5 days ago
What a gem! It was such a treat to have a free flowing hot springs (100% from the source!!) at your private bath!!! The bathroom was beautiful, and the quality of hot springs were superb. We pretty much lived in the bathroom while we were there. The house was clean and comfortable. The location was also spectacular. A very short walk to the convenience store, a bus stop, shops and Shirahama beach. We didn’t have a car but was easy to get around to see local sights by a bus. Thank you and we would love to come back again!
