Mrs Lorie has a beautiful setup and it was such an enjoyable, peaceful location. It was everything, and more, that she described. The house was beautiful, well put together, and perfect for us. We went for my daughter’s 15th birthday and she had a ball! I messaged her at 10pm about a small issue and she responded within minutes and was there the next morning. Nothing major, but her response time was so professional and she truly cares about her guest and their experience. Unfortunately it rained off and on so we didn’t get a lot of river time BUT the front porch setting over looking the river was so relaxing and we spent hours on that porch. Looking forward to booking a group stay soon! A wonderful place to vacation or have a family reunion, vacation, or weekend! Thank you Mrs Lorie for a wonderful weekend. Word of advice, set a bucket or container of water outside your door to rinse your feet off after being at the river. Saves you from getting a lot of sand in the house!

Gaines’ Getaway is somewhere we will return to. We used our car’s nav system and it took us right to the front door. The surrounding woods were so peaceful. We spent a few hours each morning on the back porch with our coffee and talked about what we wanted to visit that day. Some days we just stayed in and played games. The home is comfortable, cozy and oh so clean!! Everything we needed, Janet had already thought of. She gifted us with the most delicious freshly baked cake and we enjoyed it as dessert and with our coffee. The area is also clean and neat and we felt very safe tucked back in the woods. Two ponds to fish in or just sit and watch the fish jumping and the turtles doing their turtle stuff. It really was the most relaxing vacation. Thank you Janet and Shawn for your gracious hospitality.

The pool was the highlight of our stay. It was our own private oasis. We had a few minor issues but host was very open to correct them. I would definitely stay again as the pool was worth the stay. Great, peaceful, private area. Not walking distance to downtown but close enough to jump in vehicle and be there quick. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time for the weekend. Very clean, peaceful and nice sand bar on the river. Perfect for young kids as there is plenty of shallow water for them to play in. Recommended!
