Ahh....The Good Life Cottage is located approximately five miles north of Laurel, MS where it began on a patch of ground that was fully cultivated from the 1900's to the 1960's, afterwards it became a family farm that grew corn, hay, and food for livestock and family. Today, on the land is a farmhouse with modern amenities as well as the sights and sounds of nature all around you, frogs croaking, crickets chirping, deer feeding, turkeys foraging, and owls hooting. A place to enjoy the Good Life.

Our Little Farmhouse

This 1920's treasure holds nearly 100 years of special memories for our family. It has recently been lovingly renovated and restored and is very comfortable. Much of the original shiplap, beaded-board, and heart pine floors have been retained and restored, as well as much of the original exterior and front porch. There are two bedrooms and two baths downstairs. Upstairs offers a loft play area and a small bedroom with two twin beds. This home is located just 5 minutes from downtown Laurel.

We are conveniently located just 3 miles from the heart of downtown Laurel, America’s new favorite home town. Enjoy a picturesque country evening sitting on our front porch listening to the crickets as you watch the evening fade around you turning simple moments into beautiful memories. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Go fishing in a bass pond or walk a short distance to a 2 acre catfish pond. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the back porch overlooking the pond. This place is centrally located 1 and 1/2 hours from Mobile and The Gulf Coast Casinos. We are 2 and 1/2 hours from New Orleans, 20 minutes from Hattiesburg and 30 minutes to Laurel. You will be greeted by two friendly German Shepards, Hans and Heidi Wiseman.

Sweet Olive Cabin Morton, MS

The 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin has an open floor plan in the den and kitchen, a queen size bed in the master bedroom and twin beds in the second bedroom, with a roll-away daybed available. A pack n play is available upon request. The bathroom is handicapped accessible. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, full size refrigerator and microwave. There is no dishwasher. There is a flat screen tv in both the den and the master bedroom with Directv. We have WIFI available.
