It sits high up top of a morro in the middle of the Tivoli neighbourhood, looking out over the Bay of Santiago in one direction, and the centre of old Santiago in the other. There are two bedrooms, two double beds, as well as a full kitchen. The building sits on a very quiet street, with no through traffic.

Estrella del mar is a wonderfully unique urban accommodation located on a little beach in the punta gorda area of Santiago de cuba. Close to the airport, close to the city. The grounds, the beach front gazebo, the beds all top notch. Meals were amongst the best I’ve ever had in cuba.

We stayed with Yanet and her family for two nights who were very friendly and helpful the whole time. The room was very large and clean. There was also a kitchen (with a fridge). There is a large roof terrace that we could use. Perfect for doing some yoga or reading a book with views of mountains, nature and beach. The location is perfect (very close to the beach and the place where the buses leave). My highlight was the pool game with the nice host (he produces very nice pool tables). Thanks for the great stay!

Alfredo and Dianne are extremely kind people who did everything to make us feel at home and comfortable. The space with a patio, fruit trees and a view in front is lovely, the room is clean and cooled, they have wifi and the option to use the kitchen and wash your clothes, transport to stations was offered etc. You will have coffee in the morning and if you're lucky a bite of their delicious cuisine :) Most importantly, you can have interesting conversations and meet these Santiageros as persons. Definitely recomendable!

Wonderfully pleasant host that together with her family and staff took all my worries away! The multi-level patio/garden gives a feeling of the mythical hanging gardens of Eden. And great views from the top room! When I went through Santiago I wanted to stay here another time. Sadly for me they were fully booked, but they helped me find the casa of a friend in the next street that’s just as good.
