Join me, an anthropologist and ethnologist, on a journey through Palermo’s spiritual heritage. We’ll dive deep into the city’s devotional iconography as we explore traditional markets and ancient, tiny chapels. • We’ll start at the entrance of the vibrant and historic Il Capo market, a place deeply woven into my own upbringing. Here, you’ll experience the warm energy and hospitality of the market’s vendors. • I’ll introduce you to the traditional ways Sicilians honor specific Madonnas and holy women such as Santa Rosalia, along with figures who carry a more mystical significance in the local devotion. • As we navigate through the market and its surroundings, we’ll visit lesser-known churches and devotional spots cherished by the local community. Highlights include Madonna della Miccè, Madonna del Lume, Sant’Onofrio. • We’ll stop in a small shop for coffee, and fresh pomegranate juice, which carries important devotional symbology. You will not receive historical or architectural information from me, but the church guides or the community of "confratelli" will do it. What I will share with you is the spiritual meaning of symbols and syncresies, the metalanguage, and our way of addressing our prayers to the Saints. You’ll walk away with firsthand experience of Palermo’s spiritual traditions and the people who keep them alive.

There’ll be plenty of time to pause at scenic viewpoints. • Stop at a local cafe for a taste of Sicilian daily life before continuing to Ognina’s picturesque fishing harbor for a refreshing swim or a relaxing break in a sandy cove. • On your way back, you’ll retrace part of the route with a fresh perspective. Walking Tour Catania with Tasting

Meeting Point at the Bellini Garden in Catania(main entrance in via Etnea), a place for recreation and relaxation, known as “A Villa” by the people of Catania. After a short visit of the Garden, our tour will continue along via Etnea, the main street of Catania full of beauties in Baroque and Liberty style to be photographed and admired. Our walk will continue inside the characteristic streets of Catania, we will arrive at Piazza Federico di Svevia, seat of the Ursino Castle, where we will make a short stop and quench your palate with seltz, lemon and salt, a typical drink non-alcoholic Catania. Unmissable stop will be the fish market, where you can fully experience the folklore of the city of Catania. The tour will continue crossing “Piazza Duomo”, where you can immortalize the symbol of the city, “U liotru”, a lava stone statue depicting an elephant. Then we will head towards the iconic square of Catania's opera, Piazza Teatro Massimo, seat of the homonymous Vincenzo Massimo Bellini theater, characterized by the Liberty style. Finally we will visit the Catania fair, called “a fera o 'luni”, where there are stalls of all kinds. Etna excursion by jeep and trekking. Free shoes and jackets

Excursion on Mount Etna by jeep and trekking to visit craters, caves and the last eruption of 2002 up to the authorized quotas based on volcanic activity. We start from the Hotel if located in the town of Zafferana etnea or from our meeting point with comfortable 4×4 jeep o minivan , in a north-easterly direction, after a couple of km we will stop inside the National Park accessible by authorized guide, because there are about 45 craters. After a walk of about 40 minutes we will visit 5 craters, one of which is still open and you can see the real size of a crater. In this area we will observe all types of lava, minerals, volcanic desert and pioneer plants of our volcano. After visiting the craters at altitude, with our jeep we will make 2 km of off-road vehicles to discover the last big eruption,that destroyed the old tourist center. Finally with helmets and lamps provided by us we will visit the small craters inside (cave) an expansion chamber and a fracture, which divides Etna into 2 parts, (moves 14 millimeters a year) The visit will be carried out in areas of volcanological and scientific interest ,with an expert and qualified guide. Sailing tour in Palermo

Mondello or Cape Zafferano EXPERIENCE Our experience begins at 10 am with an appointment at the pier at the Marina Galizzi in via Filippo Patti in Palermo, after a small welcome juice, we will begin sailing towards the Gulf of Mondello or towards Cape Zafferano. Leaving the port we could mount the sails and the captain will give you the basics of sailing. During sailing almost at the foot of Monte Pellegrino near the port of Acquasanta or alternatively we will go towards Cape Zafferano, guests can have a unique experience and admire our wonderful coastlines. Arriving in the crystal clear sea, near the Cape Gallo reserve, guests will be able to swim and then taste our local cuisine. After a little relaxation you will jump back to the boardwalk where we will arrive around 6 pm. During our experience it will be possible to fish on the boat thanks to the equipment. In the event that sea weather conditions are severe, the excursion will be postponed to a future date or fully refunded.
