House holiday rentals in Sidney

We stayed for 2 nights in June, and we all wished we could have stayed longer. This house was perfect for 6 adults and 1 toddler as well as our 2 dogs. The house is absolutely beautiful, modern updated and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen and living room were a nice gathering area for us. We found the bedrooms comfortable and very peaceful for a good night sleep. The pool and outside was our favorite. The pool was perfect, clean & warm. We loved that it had a shelf that our toddler granddaughter could sit on and splash around. We didn't get to the fire pit, but that area was very nice as well. We had a great time, and we are hoping to get back again next year. We highly recommend this home and the host who was always easy to communicate with and highly responsive.

We would 100% recommend Dina’s place to ANYONE (and we hope to be back)! The place is beautiful and would accommodate a small to large family. The pool and hot tub are incredibly nice and peaceful surrounded by trees. The furniture is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen great to use. Dina is also incredibly thoughtful and quick with her replies. We got a little turned around arriving at night (the GPS lead us up the road a bit), but we found it!

This was a great condo - spacious and had everything we needed. Very close to sugarloaf base camp - about a half mile so also easy to walk. Would stay again and would recommend!

We felt like at home. The house is located in a private property with swimming pool and tennis courts. It’s very clean and very peaceful. Just a clarification about the description : there’s no bathroom in the basement. Then if you come with elderly people or very young kids, it could be annoying. If you like cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. We´ll keep a very good memory of our stay in Ducktrap Retreat during the colorful foliage season.

this was the 3rd time our family has stayed,again we had a fantastic time! We chose to return due to the great space, a fabulous indoor pool, great kitchen and an amazing view. Great attention to details, comfortable for large families or groups and peaceful for just 2.

I had a wonderful stay., they were fantastic in accommodations for me and my service dog who loved the yard. The home is beautiful and the host was very accommodating. communication was great. I look forward to staying there when I’m in that area again.

Booked this place for our anniversary to get away from the city for a weekend.. we found exactly what we were looking for! The hot tub was wonderful, the house was clean and cute, and we had everything we could have needed! Estelle was very responsive and gave clear instructions for everything. Would recommend this place for a quiet getaway or a small group trip in the summer!

If you want a private, well furnished home in the woods with fishing access on the stream and 2 fire pits this is your place!! Staying at this house made a work trip for my crew and I, feel like we were on vacation for 2 nights while staying there. Worth the money and great hosts!

Quintessential Maine camp on a beautiful lake. Great spot to have the grandchildren and connect with Maine family. The camp is charming and well appointed. The lakefront location was perfect for our stay.

The location is gorgeous and peaceful, so close to the water so that we could enjoy it right out the window, or down at the dock. The weather was too rainy for paddling but we heard the loons. The space is comfortable and Mark had so many nice touches that made us feel welcome. We hope to be back!

This is the second time we have stayed at Laura’s home, both times for our children’s graduation from Colby College. It is a perfect location located directly on the lake with beautiful views. The home is quite welcoming, spacious, and a wonderful setting to celebrate the graduations.. Highly recommend Laura‘s place. She is a very gracious host.

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

I had a wonderful 2-day stay at this lake house with my friends. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described by the host. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings — it was the perfect spot for a quick getaway by the lake. The hosts were very responsive and answered any questions quickly. The area where Sofia has her Airbnb is a close favorite to Vienna where I spent many summers at my father’s camp. It is a beautiful home and very close to the water. My family came from as far away as Australia to be there for my father’s interment in the Mt. Vernon community cemetery. Sofia was gracious and allowed our extended family to stop and say hi to our grandchildren. We had three generations staying in Sofia’s beautiful and comfortable home with plenty of space to spread out. Sofia’s kitchen is a dream and has plenty of counter space to prepare a delicious Saturday afternoon meal, and we took full advantage. Sofia also let us stay on a moments notice because our VRBO rental cancelled us the morning we were all supposed to be arriving there. We appreciate Sofia’s quick response to our need. Sofia’s rental was much bigger and nicer to accommodate all of us.

We stayed for two months while I was on a temporary work assignment in the area. Check-in was simple, any questions were quickly answered. We had no problems with anything during our stay; everything was exactly as anticipated from the description. We immediately loved the view of the lake from the front windows! The kitchen was perfect, and we felt right at home. I was working long shifts, and a quiet, peaceful location was important for me to get enough sleep--this place provided it exactly. We were able to watch the lake go from ice covered when we arrived to open water when we left. We saw robins and loons arrive, and heard them calling as they settled into their summer homes. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who enjoys a quiet lake setting.

Corie was so responsive with answers to questions about wifi and check-in to fun day trips we should try while we are there. The view of the lake is the best and the swimming was wonderful. Plus loved the paddle boat. Very relaxing!!

This place was awesome for our family. My younger daughter and husband have a toddler and the accommodations were perfect. The dock and all of the water sports equipment was a huge hit. We kayaked , and fished. My oldest daughter did a plunge in the lake ( mind you it’s October!!!). Every morning I sat on the dock watched the sun come up and enjoyed the views and wildlife. Having a properly equipped kitchen was an added bonus. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we like we were at home. Dry peaceful and quiet. Looking forward to a return trip.

This cozy cottage was definitely the right choice for our family. The location of it was perfect for the things we already had planned to do in the area, with a beautiful scenic view. The cottage was accommodating and had everything we could’ve needed asides from tooth brushed and toothpaste. The host was quite responsive as well. I would most definitely recommend this cottage as a place to stay for anyone!

This home did not disappoint. You couldn’t be any closer to the lake which was just dreamy. House was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Thorough information was provided prior to check in which was so helpful. Blessed to see and listen to the loons every single day!
