My partner is a photographer and had a wedding shoot at Sardine lake resort. We needed some where close and safe. Wow! Perfect location and very peaceful. I hope she has another shoot so we can take advantage….Great host and enjoyable weekend.

We came to celebrate our son's birthday and had a wonderful time. It was peaceful and comfortable and it was as described. We cooked all of our meals there and really appreciated the Blackstone and Traeger. The kitchen was well equipped. Truly a wonderful place.

Perfect spot - we hit up Sierra Hot Springs one day and hiked near Graeagle the other. Cute, quiet neighborhood and the stars at night were unreal.

If you’re coming to Downieville and bringing your mountain bike, this is the place for you. Marcel and Sandy are very friendly and even gave me some trail recommendations. Their place is quiet and has everything you need to make yourself at home. Bonus points for the outdoor bike repair stand with tools and a hose.

Peaceful, private, retreat right on the river. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. There was no cell service so I could truly unplug. The grounds have several hammocks and cozy sitting areas with the beautiful sounds of nature and the trickle of the water. I left refreshed and renewed from the peaceful natural beauty.

We had a great stay! The house was so cozy and inviting. It was the perfect getaway for our family. We would love to come back again!

We loved our short stay in the cozy camper in the woods of Clio. We were pleasantly surprised to find a camper on airbnb. It met out needs and then some. We are hoping to return in October.

This was the third time I've stayed at one of Brendan and Megan's Valley House units, and like the last times my expectations were fully met. I've stayed in both units (I particularly like Unit 1, but both are nice!), and they were fully stocked with everything I'd need. And in the past, when I once needed some assistance from Brendan, he was extremely responsive and everything was taken care of quickly. I love the small town of Sierraville as well as the various parts of Sierra Valley and neighboring communities. Truckee is an easy drive away, and I find staying in Sierraville provides a wonderful "getaway" from the hustle and bustle of Truckee that can happen during the high season in Summer. I highly recommend The Valley House, with it's wonderful hosts!! The only very minor suggestion I would make is to provide a larger bathmat next to the shower; the current one is quite small, and something twice as large would be perfect! That said, I absolutely love the shower!

Is exactly what to expect as far as cabins go.

The place was better than we expected! The place is more cozy and spacious than the pictures make it look like it to be. We enjoyed our stay for our weekend of snowboarding as it was only 30 min to Donner and Boreal! The host is friendly and responsive. Thanks for a comfortable and great stay! :)

Wonderful place to unplug and relax. We loved everything especially the record player in the room. We listened to every album. They love dogs and my pooch had so much fun pretending he is a big mountain dog. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the area. It most certainly is rustic but not roughing it. My favorite way to travel. Plus the hot springs are nearby! So much outdoorsy fun to help you feel alive ❤️

We needed an off-the-grid cabin and this was THE perfect option. Nice and comfy/cozy and the perfect location for Sierra Valley and the Gold Lakes. So welcoming to have a warm and safe spot to retire too after a day of travel or a long day of adventure. EXACTLY what we were looking for.

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. The location is amazing and we could walk to the pond. The cabin meet all our needs for cooking meals at home. Cabin was extremely clean and cozy. Highly recommended

My soon to be girlfriend and I had the opportunity of staying at Constellation Creek (Arrow Cabin) and were absolutely amazed by the level of hospitality we received. (shoutout to Indiana at check-in, she was amazing). The cabin was very cute and quaint. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating arrangement that featured very aesthetically pleasing string lighting. Overall 11/10. Host is very responsive as well. Will definitely return.

Was a perfect place for our golf group. We had a great time and Walt was an exceptional communicator and host. Cant wait to go back next year!

We attended our nephew's wedding and stayed at Chase's place. It was extremely clean and the kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed to eat-in which was important since we had a baby with us. The house is very spacious and has a nice deck for enjoying the peacefulness and fresh mountain air. There is a nice grass area as well. Easily walkable into the town of Graeagle. We would stay again if we are up that way!

This was our second stay and definitely won't be our last. We had other family members with us this trip and it was perfect accommodations for all of us. Location is perfect for those who love to fish and house is cozy and feels like home for those who want to relax.

We went up with a family of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. The home was incredibly clean, location was easy to find, check in and out was very simple and easy. The neighborhood is incredibly clean, quiet, and relaxing. Brooke was incredibly nice and responsive to anything we needed. We will definitely be coming back.
