Quiet, private, comfortable

We booked this Airbnb to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and it was the perfect choice. The place has a lovely design and cozy ambiance, and the private pool made the celebration even more fun. Kulim, like much of the Northern Region of Malaysia, can get quite hot, so I really appreciated that Mr. Akmal had turned on the air conditioning before our arrival. The place was cool and comfortable the moment we stepped in a very thoughtful gesture. Mr. Akmal was a great host friendly, responsive, and honest. He informed us about a small issue beforehand, which I truly appreciated. His transparency and attentiveness made the whole experience even better. All in all, a great stay. Highly recommended!

I would say if you have a huge amount of people this is a good place to get away from the city. Most of the amenities are available right here. A really great spot to view the beach which is just right outside the house and a great bonding session in this house!

Our short vacation in Penang was memorable and fun. When we checked in at Peddey's house we were impressed with the house, small yet so cosy and felt at home. Excellent in every way. Where do I start… the location cannot be beat. Armenian street is THE George Town street to see, and it’s walking distance to many amazing restaurants, hawkers centers, boutique shops, street artworks, and other attractions like the esplanade and large shopping malls. The home itself has a very peaceful feel, oozing with oldtown charm, tastefully furnished, and very spacious. The beds are comfortable, the aircon is excellent, the hot/cold filtered water machine is super convenient, and the washer/dryer works well. Things to note: The bathroom ceiling is quite low- if you’re over 5’10” you’ll be stooped over, but they provide a shower seat. There is an atrium in the middle of the home that is open to the floor below and the shop on the ground floor. This is no issue, but something to be aware of if you have toddlers like us that are, at times, difficult to keep calm and quiet.

I like this homestay very much, it's very photogenic, it's not close to the main road, it's very quiet at night, but the mosque nearby will chant at 5am, this is probably a problem that all homestays in the old city have.You can walk 10 minutes in the morning to see the sunrise at the surname bridge, and the mural street is also within a 10-minute walk.There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for large families or groups of friends.The stairs to the second floor are a little steep, but my parents, who are 70+, can go up and down, no problem.When we checked in, the housekeeper helped us to move our luggage upstairs, and when we left, they delayed our check-out until 2 o'clock.The room air conditioner is Panasonic, and the air conditioning is very powerful, which is especially important in the hot and humid Penang.The room has two bathrooms and two shower rooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor.The shower room and washroom on the second floor are on the outdoor terrace and can only be reached through a door. It is slightly inconvenient at night. The neighborhood is safe, and there is no problem going to the terrace at night.
