Heiðrún Sara’s cottage was our absolute favourite stay of all four places we rented in Iceland. It is cozy, private, charming, quiet, and a perfect home base when you’re enjoying day trips along the Golden Circle. It’s ideal for two people, as it is quite tiny with not a lot of space for luggage, although we made out just fine. We especially loved getting in the hot tub at the end of our hiking days. Heiðrún Sara was easy to communicate with and check in/check out was a breeze. Would totally stay in this little nook again!

The Little Blue House is an absolute delight. The setting is magical, with amazing views all around, and especially from the deck/hot tub. Be sure to take advantage of the endless hot water for the hot tub! 😁😁😁. Filling it and keeping it warm is a little bit of trial and error but once done it's blissful.

Our family had a fab week at Inga’s cabin. It was the perfect base to explore the country from. We particularly enjoyed evenings in the hot tub gazing at the northern lights. The cabin had everything we needed and Inga was a helpful and responsive host. We would recommend her place 💯

Lovely cosy cabin in peaceful surroundings - we loved hearing the snipes calling while we were sitting on the terrace of in the hot tub. Perfect location for lots of day trips to the main golden circle sites.

Clean, quiet, peaceful. Hot tub was amazing! Close to so many golden circle attractions. You will not be disappointed if you book this place.

Valla was a wonderful host. Her cabin is within nature and very cosy. Valla communicated extremely well to ensure we were comfortable and arrived safely and stress free. She gave us flexibility on arrival and departure. Would definitely recommend.

Simply outstanding! The cabin was perfect – cozy, top equipped and with a stunning location. The absolute highlight: We were able to experience the aurora lights directly above the pool and terrace – an unforgettable experience! Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy Iceland in its most beautiful form.

Very beautiful location.

Cabin was cute, cozy, and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Close to Golden Circle attractions and great restaurants in downtown Selfoss yet very peaceful and private. Wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor space. Host was very responsive and friendly.

We booked the hut for the private geothermal hot tub and although it takes 1-2 hours to fill it was absolutely amazing! We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet, there is nothing else than a nice view and smell of pine with the sound of some birds around.

The cottage is decorated like in a fairy tale, very nicely decorated and super cozy. You can tell that Agnes takes care of the house with love. Everything is super clean and food as well as skin care are provided. You can really treat yourself at Agnes'. The cottage is located on a hill near Geysir and Gullfoss - a great location for a vacation in Iceland. The disadvantage is the great distance to the nearest supermarket. But Agnes is very precautionary: The fridge was already filled when we arrived and none of us had to starve. The kitchen was also fully equipped with spices, oil, food in stock and kitchen appliances. Communication with Agnes was great too. She always responded quickly and helped us quickly when we had problems.

We stayed for one week and loved it every day. The cabin has everything you need and the Jaccuzzi is a real bonus. Stock up your groceries in Reykjavik or Keflavik when you come via airplane. There are some really good restaurants within 20-30 min drive (we recommend Farmers Bistro in Fludir if you love mushrooms). Communication was really easy.

The place was super clean and we felt right at home in the little cottage. Any problems will be taken care of immediately. :-)

We loved the cosy cabine a lot! There was everything and more what we needed! The surrounding is beautiful, we loved the islandic horses close to the cabine and playing in the nature. The interior is lovely. There are some games we played. The beds are comfortable! Easy check in. From here we started some Trips to waterfalls or the Grand Geysir, super easy. The Kids had a great time playing outside. We did our grocerys before in Sellfoss. We had a great stay and can highly recommend this cabine! Thank you!!!

Great stay! So much to see just around this place. the host was really responsive with all our questions about local stuff, and very flexible to accommodate our group with lots of kids. Stairs are quite steep, so upstairs is not recommended under 3yo. The outdoor hot tub was great, and temperature can be adjusted to exactly what you need. There is room for swimsuits and towels to dry. A few toddler toys, Villkatten for kids a little older. We highly recommend!

This place has everything you need - small but nice. A supermarket is about 30 minutes away in Sellfoss. The kitchen has very good amenities, stove, oven, microwave and a large fridge. The cutlery is in a drawer in the drawer of the plates. The highlight was definitely the hot tub with aurora light! Helga even sent us a message and pointed out that there may be aurora lights.

Thank you for the instructions and layout. We spent 3 beautiful days in this area, were able to explore from the cabin, enjoyed the peaceful environment in the evening. Suitable for children! (Pay attention to the stairs for little ones). Wonderful stay!

All around a wonderful place to stay! We opted to stay here for our full time in Iceland and it was perfect. This home is beautiful, well heated in the winter months, and has every kitchen tool you could need. Our host was very responsive and kind. He even went as far as to alert us when the northern lights were outside to make sure we had the opportunity to see them. Highly recommend!!
