Holiday houses in Sobra

We had a fabulous stay in Ivan’s beautiful villa. Such an amazing location, away from it all, with the most stunning views. A fantastic place to relax and unwind.

Very nice host, she was able to guide us during our stay and give us plenty of advice. Very helpful and accommodating, I recommend 100%. It is still necessary to provide a means of transport to access the island's activities as well as housing, But hitchhiking is quite easy on this island. We had 3 wonderful nights!

This is one of the most beautiful coastal regions in Europe. We had to drive longer from Northern Germany than to Italy or Spain, but the additional time and money was 100% worth. The water is crystal clear and warm with many colourful small fishes, great for snorkelling or swimming. There are few tourists, most of them are Croatians, so that you get a grip of local culture. It is a calm place with lots of vegetation, also nice for hiking with great views of the sea, every once in a while you will sea a wild goat while hiking. The apartment had a huge balcony with a beautiful sea view. You can buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen and beer and wine are also great. There are only few sand beaches on the island, none of them in Sobra, but there are many cement structures to get into the water, one of them only 200m from the apartment. Marija and her family are lovely people, especially her mother. We spend 3 great weeks here and wish to come back some day!

This stay was perfect in every way. The photos can’t capture just how lovely the home and the property are. Being at the house was as much of an experience as the rest of the island. We loved the breeze flowing through the open windows as we cooked. We loved the architecture and decor and lighting. The house is in a great location, close enough to the harbor (where the restaurants and market are), a beautiful hike to a cliff side church, and several beaches (some rocky, one sandy). Also, going in May, the beginning of the season, meant the island was peaceful. The afternoons were sunny and warm. The evenings had cozy thunderstorms. It was hard to leave!

Our stay in this Airbnb was amazing! Starting by the host who was extraordinary caring and the apartment which was super clean and had the best oceanview at Sobra. Even though it was chilly we could spent hours in the evening on the balcony because of the provided blankets to enjoy the amazing view. We immediately felt home here!

Antonia's place was just perfect for our stay (3 nights in peak August). Its location in the centre of the island is truly useful (about 10 minutes by car from Sobra&the ferry) and from there you can visit every corner of Mljet with a 15 minutes drive (or walk to the closest ones such as the Odysseus' cave). It has a large outdoor - dinner - cooking/grilling - relax area you can enjoy and the apartment although tiny is cute and fully equipped with everything you might need while there. Antonia is nice and welcoming and was a truly pleasant host. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in Sobra. The location is incredible, with amazing views from the balcony out over the bay. There are also a couple of beaches within just a few minutes' walk. The apartment is lovely, really clean and well-equipped. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!
