Holiday houses in Sologne

Warm welcome by Michel and Jacqueline and an extensive tour. The view from the huge terrace is fantastic. You can walk downstairs along the Loire through the large and beautifully landscaped garden. The apartment is large, clean and equipped with various spaces: a spacious bedroom with a great bed, separate toilet and bathroom with a nice shower in the hallway, a living room with sofa and a large kitchen with great cooking facilities. There are various seats on the terrace, so you can always find a nice spot. The peace is only disturbed by the sounds of birds. Great stay in this region.

It was wonderful to stay in a home connected to the history of the Loire area and its architecture. We loved the elegant, tall windows, the high ceilings, the wide hallways, the fire places, the lovely lounge and dining rooms, the views of the climbing roses from the bedrooms along the back side of the house, the spacious, main bedroom and the large garden with it comfortable furniture. We ate outside and enjoyed the garden. The kitchen is pretty but a little narrow for a couple of people to work in there at the same time. It is well equiped, with everything you need to prepare meals. The main bathroom is spacious. The second bathroom is bath only with shower attachment in the bath. It was fine for us. The house is decorated with soft, pastel wall paper and is quite sparse in its decoration which I loved because I could enjoy the structures of the home without them being hidden by too much decoration. We loved our stay and would stay again. Carol also kindly looked after us.

This beautiful cottage is out in the middle of the country with birdsong during the day and quiet nights. It’s still in between many major destinations in the Loire Valley. Central location with lots of good grocery stores and we made lots of our meals at the cottage. For those wanting to eat out there are lots of great restaurants within 30 minutes. The cottage was even cuter in person. The bed was firm but cozy. Bathroom was large with a great shower. You have a private patio overlooking beautiful fields, which we enjoyed in the afternoons and for watching sunsets. The pool is a shared space. When you are using it, you won’t see the hosts or feel intruded upon. They make use of it in the mornings and later in evening when you’re not using it. Karen is available for suggestions or to help you with your itinerary and she is a very nice person. You’ll enjoy this beautiful retreat!

An amazing place with an amazing host, The place is beautiful, cozy and peaceful, just what we needed to disconnect and recharge Our dogs loved the space, and specially the lake. The place is absolutely stunning - super spacious, stylish, has everything one may need on vacation and even more. The terrace is a jem - we enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace. The area is very serene and quiet. And Celine is an amazing host, extremely helpful and responsive. Definitely would recommend and would dream of returning again!

We have particularly enjoyed this nice house. The interior is cozy, practical and equipped with everything you need. It is wonderfully quiet here with a spacious view of the hilly landscape. Every day it was a surprise how the view changed with the weather and the effect on the landscape by the clouds and the sun. And the sheep in the meadow opposite the house are also friendly neighbors. Surrounding cities such as Nevers, Bourges and Moulins are worth a visit. The village and garden at Chateau d'Apremont-sur-Allier, and the Pont Canal du Guetin are also special attractions.

The dome is spacious and comfortable and the view of the Loire is magnificent. Great stay, I would recommend it. If we nitpick, there is another house at the entrance to the site but we did not meet anyone. The plant hedge that surrounds the dome is not very high, perhaps it would have helped to feel completely isolated in this small, very quiet corner overlooking the Loire. The price may be a little excessive.

The stay went very well. The accommodation is comfortable, well-equipped and located in a pleasant setting next to a small castle. The oranjerie is a real plus, perfect for relaxing. François is a friendly host. An address to keep in mind.
