Holiday houses in South Andros

Nathan’s was great. Spent 3 days there while diy bonefishing. Clean and well maintained. Hooked me up with a rental car that fit my needs perfectly. Freeman was a great host with breakfast and coffee in the morning and the cook in the evenings was great as well . Both were a great source of local info.

If you are looking for a cozy, relaxing, clean home with your own private beach, this is your place. If you are coming with a bone-fisher, they can fish in the back yard. We enjoyed the tranquility and turquoise waters all to ourselves. Step outside at night and you will experience an expansive sky full of stars. During our stay we saw one other person on the beach and they were local. South Andros is a unique place that is covered with beautiful palms and foliage. Peggy, the host and Temecka, the property manager, go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We love visiting the out islands and this is one of our favorites. Even with the remoteness, the WiFi worked perfectly. If you want to have a fancy meal or massage, be sure to book early with the resort a mile north. As with all the out islands, you may wish to bring a cooler of food. The house is well equipped for cooking and there is a brand new air fryer at your disposal. We rate this house a 10!

Group enjoyed the stay at this house by the beach. Wifi worked well. This was the first time the house was rented out, so it was understandable that there were some missing household items (e.g., can opener), which can be made available in the future to improve the stay for future guests. Overall, it worked out well!

Jacquie's place was a great location. It is about a mile from Congotown airport. The home is a short, shaded, sandy walk from the beach. Beautiful hammock, picnic tables, and chairs under the palms. The beach has clear water, a reef to snorkel, lots of shells, and wildlife. The home was adequate to our needs with a comfortable queen bed and four singles, plus two full bathrooms. The water pressure was fine for island life, but not enough for two showers at once. The kitchen had everything we needed: stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee pot, microwave, fridge, and freezer. The community was all very friendly! We enjoyed our time in conversation with the locals and hanging out with the many puppies and dogs who loved our kids. We ate at AAA Restaurant, which is walking distance from the home, and it was exceptional. Overall, we loved our stay. Just know it will be an authentic and local experience. The grocery stores and restaurants might be sparce if the boat hasn't arrived yet.

Ms Mckinney was very responsive and welcoming. The listing was exactly as pictured everything was pristine it and had a nice view of the creek. I would recommend for a nice quiet time away. Ginger was very friendly as well.
