A country getaway on 5 acres. A neat little cottage with 2 bedrooms, and a 3rd bedroom/granny flat detached from main house on 5 acres. Close to town (6km) in the South Burnett region, with easy getaways to cycle trails, state forest, local sights with lots of local food and delicacies. NOTE: We have had request for families with infants. There is unfenced dam on the property, and we have been advised not the take bookings with infants. No work bookings please, as we have had bad experiences.

A half-hour drive to Barambah Winery Trail, 15 mins to South Burnett Rail Trail, half hr to Kingaroy, 15 mins to Wondai. A perfect base to explore the region's wineries, small towns and dams or simply do nothing, take in the relaxing atmosphere, and recharge. Breakfast provisions are supplied for your first morning.

High on the Firebreak, The Granary offers a gorgeous panorama of the Bunya Mountains. Completely off-grid, all of the city luxuries in our serene rural landscape. Inside, a luxurious king bed with flax linen sheets awaits. Draw a bath or cozy up by the stone fireplace on cool evenings and enjoy refreshing breezes during balmy nights. Head out for a dip in the wood-fired cedar hot tub, where the breathtaking views take centre stage which in summer, transforms into a delightful plunge pool.

This beautiful & romantic getaway can sleep up to 4 people but it’s ideal for 2. With rolling hills & plenty of open country there's lots of area to explore. Enjoy the cows wondering the paddocks & the amazing stars at night on the deck or from the outdoor bath with the fire going & a glass of wine or cuppa in hand! We are less than 10 mins from Nanango & 20 to Kingaroy. The South Burnett has something to offer for all, cafes, wineries, rail trails & adventurous bushwalks to name a few.

Off-the grid Country Retreat

De-stress, relax and recharge your batteries. Just a 2hr drive from Brisbane. We're off the grid with solar power and rain water tanks. Dog friendly with fully fenced 5 acres for your dog to explore. We have 5 Border Collies on the property, and they love meeting our guests. There is no separate fence around the cottage. We live in the main house but screening provides privacy. Collect your fresh eggs every morning, and any seasonal veggies. Indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit.

Kookaburra Cottage - Country Family Getaway

Kookaburra cottage is an isolated private stay situated on 125 acres. Enjoy the slower pace of our lovely secluded farm, relaxing on the deck watching cows and horses wandering the paddocks. This stylish getaway sleeps up to 4 people. It boasts a large back deck overlooking wide open spaces. When night falls, treat yourself to a chandelier of stars. Situated 20 mins from Wineries, Bjelke Peterson Dam and a 25min drive to Kingaroy. The South Burnett region offers plenty to do.

Wicklow Cottage

Wicklow Cottage is a renovated country cottage situated on a working farm approximately 12 min north of Kingaroy, near the village of Wooroolin. It is a quiet location yet close to town and near the rail trail. You can choose to base yourself here to explore the area or just chill out on the verandah with a good book, a glass of local wine, enjoying the view. Some guests stay while on short term work assignments. 2 pm checkout on Sundays for weekend bookings
