Beautiful house very spacious and very well equipped, great hot tub which was very easy to use. Lovely outside seating area. Greg was an excellent host, keeping in contact when needed. Would certainly recommend his home as a welcoming place.

We had a lovely time at Owl Barn, house was very comfortable and had been very nicely refurbished. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We made good use of both the eco pod and hot tub during our stay, loads of space for board games and fun! One thing to note is that there's a lower fence that separates the other two cottages which share a garden boundary, so if you have a dog who is a bit nervous with people/dogs constantly over fences it's not ideal. It's also worth being aware that you'll have little privacy in the hot tub if both cottages are using them at the same time as they have placed two of the hot tubs on facing sides of the houses which share the low fence. Was a bit awkward watching strangers getting a bit amorous while you attempt to avoid eye contact or having to listen to their tunes. This wasn't a major issue for our group, but as the photos don't show this shared boundary or how low the fence is, it might be helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at this property with my family and my brother’s family—four adults and four kids in total. The space was perfect for a group our size. The kids especially loved the attic bedroom, the pinball machine, and most of all, the hot tub! The hot tub room was a real highlight—being indoors made it even more enjoyable, and the comfy chairs in the same room meant we could relax while keeping an eye on the children. The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep for everyone. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, with fresh eggs—presumably from the hens on site—which we really appreciated. It’s in a great location for visiting family-friendly attractions like the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cannon Hall Farm, which we’d definitely recommend for kids. Thanks for a great stay!

We chose this accommodation due to its location near to the Peaks. The cottage was really peaceful and in a cracking location. Maeve greeted us on our arrival and explained all we needed and she even sorted some extra heating for us. Will be staying again soon

Angela has a lovely place to stay in. Easy to find, it's on the 'main road' of the village, although traffic noise was never an issue. The actual place is very cosy, spacious with very comfortable beds and bedding. I had a nice stay there (was working in the area so stay could not be marked as great!), but away from work Angela's place provided a nice restful location. The surrounding area is lovely and I went exploring a few times to the woods and nearby Dam. There was an issue with the internet, which went down after a couple of days, but Angela logged that with her provider so the issue was out of her control. When I am next in the area, will look to see if this cottage is free to stay at.

We had a wonderful three night stay. We have stayed in Holmfirth many times but this was the first time in this wonderful, characterful, quirky cottage. It has been renovated to a great standard. The cottage is in a central location but just away from the main hustle and bustle so is very quiet. There is absolutely everything you could need in the cottage (and probably more!). Jean was fantastic with her responses if we had any questions/messages. We will definitely be returning!

We hired Hugh Cottage for a weekend, convenient for the Peaks, short drive from Hope and Castleton. The cottage is extremely looked after, the property is immaculate, Kitchen has everything you need should you use this, the bathroom has a good shower and washbasin, the bedrooms are a good size with clean bedroom linen and plenty of soft clean towels. Plenty of storage in the kitchen for food and has a fridge, in the utility there is a 2nd larger fridge freezer and also dishwasher. Outside there is garden furniture which you could sit in the Sun (only if it shines and would be a heat trap) Thankyou we had a great weekend and Hugh Cottage is extremely homely !

I really enjoyed my stay in the cottage. Location was quiet and peaceful. Debbie was always easy to communicate with, if I had any queries she would answer back very quickly. Debbie made me feel very welcome, she is a great host! I would definitely book the cottage again if I am in the area in the future.

Our stay at Brown Bread Cottage was delightful. Andre provided clear instructions to find the place, the laminated booklet inside was informative, gave us plenty of recommended local activities and how to use the hot water and heating so despite the rural location, we were always comfy and clean. The locally sourced milk in the fridge on arrival was a great touch. There is also a Wii with a good selection of games for those relaxing in the evening. It’s within walking distance of Edale, which has fantastic eateries with picturesque views. As well as small towns, less than a 10 minute drive away with everything you could need, such as bakeries, general stores, fuel and more. Andre greeted us on arrival, and left us to it. Despite it being a small cluster of cottages, the property is very private and doesn’t feel like you’re living in someone else’s property like some other stays. Will be staying again to do more of the local walks once my fractured knee is healed!

Francesca's place totally exceeded our expectations! It is located halfway up the hill which ensured great views from the bedroom window. Surrounded by cute farm animals as well as a beautiful, well-tended garden. The interior was even better than the photos -- the accommodation not only had all the amenities and appliances we could have needed, but Francesca added a personal touch by curating a sampler of local bread, butter, honey, eggs, etc. We cannot recommend this place enough -- a perfect place to come home to after long days of exploring and hiking. We also had the chance of meeting Jocelyn who was extremely kind and personable. Cannot wait to return!

We had such a lovely stay. The cottage was the perfect base for us whilst attending a family wedding. We had no idea how beautiful Holmfirth was so hopefully we’ll be back to explore sometime.

Such a beautiful cottage. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay with friends. Plenty of space for us all to relax after a day’s trekking. The house is perfectly situated … right next to all the local pubs and restaurants as well as being very accessible to all the great local walks. Castleton itself was extremely busy (possibly due to half term) but we felt we were in a little calm oasis when we were sitting outside in the pretty front garden of Bean Farm cottage. Also the spacious parking area just infront of the house is a real plus. We would definitely recommend this as a great base for walks in the Peak District and hope to return one day

quaint charming comfortable cottage in a lovely village walking distance to pubs and restaurants and beautiful lake with boathouse converted to a tea room overlooking lake. For us carparking was the only issue we had was trying to find a safe place to park and leave the car on returning to property due to narrow lanes and trying not to obstruct pathways for pedestrians as was busy with cars already parked but it did not spoil the lovely weekend we had there. Everyone you meet were very welcoming and friendly 😊

An absolute BEAUT of a place to stay with everything required for an easy and pleasant few days away from home. I was staying for work reasons but it would also be a PERFECT romantic getaway spot - just lovely! And walking distance to the canal and lovely scenery too...

We had a lovely stay at Sally & Dean's place. Both before and during our stay, the hosts were very attentive and friendly. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, and was very well equipped. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the restaurant across the road is well worth a visit. Overall excellent value for money, would absolutely recommend and would love to come back again some time. Thank you!

we had a wonderful relaxing holiday at the the Stables. it was exactly as described. the area is beautiful with many charming towns and villages. We visited tha canal in Sheffield, Bakewell, Winnats pass, Castleton and many more. We loved how close Ringinglow was to this area we love.
