Our family had a wonderful stay here! The pictures don’t do the outside space justice! It’s beautiful and thoughtfully planned out outdoor space! Our kids had plenty of space to play and we all enjoyed our time there especially in the evenings.

Our stay at Dareen’s cabin was wonderful. The place was beautiful and peaceful. We look forward to staying again.

The little stone mill was such a great surprise. It was very private and well thought out. Exceptionally clean and neat. The real operating water wheel with flowing stream added a very peaceful and relaxing time to our stay. Definitely was Soo glad I got the fire pit and hot tub packages. We ordered breakfast the second day. Wish we had ordered breakfast both days. Definitely recommend staying here. We wish we didn't have to ever leave.

Beautiful, updated cabin that felt very private and within the woods, while not being too far from things to do as well as not difficult to locate. Very clean and well kept. Great directions and things to do provided by host. Hot tub was a great amenity as well. Excellent cabin with plenty of rooms for a weekend in the woods!

Julie's place was beautiful! Our family enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub and both the adults and young adults made great use of the game room! Julie was a great host and very proactive in asking if we had everything we needed or if there was anything she could do to make our stay enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Black Log Cabin in Fredericksburg. We celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday and created unforgettable memories. Thank you for making this momentous occasion even more special for my family and me with your wonderful hospitality. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a serene getaway.

Great place! We really enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities. The kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, hot tub, hammocks were all great. Have two teens who very much enjoyed. Was relaxing but a lot to do there also. Lots of jellyfish so we did not swim at all. Definitely a lot of fish and crabs that can be caught right at the dock. If more serious and knowledgeable about fishing then us, may want to bring extra hooks and tackle box. Definitely some size-able fish. Bait shop in town has a lot of supplies but very limited hours. The house had tons of towels, washcloths, etc. which was nice. Kitchen had oil, spices, plenty of cooking utensils, pots / pans, dinnerware etc. Blackstone was nice. Made it very easy to cook. Very few restaurants open M-F. Of those that were, most closed by about 3. Newsome’s was a great local place for lunch. Crab cakes were outstanding. Definitely would stay again. Had a great time!

Amazing peaceful place

Enjoyable getaway in Blackwater area. The cabin really felt off the grid, and I enjoyed the wide selection of movies and non-internet entertainment. The area is very buggy when we went in early June, I wasn't quite ready for that as Cambridge is not. I liked the feel and would recommend it for anyone looking for quiet and remote feeling, but not challenging to get to.

I had an amazing experience staying at this property! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful for a great night’s sleep. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful from check-in to check-out, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. They even left a few nice personal touches that made me feel especially welcome. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality stay in the area. This place could not be more perfect for our trip to DC. It was the perfect distance to the metro. Our group of 8 had so much space of our own, yet plenty of room to be together in the common spaces and not be on top of each other! We went in the coldest month of the year, so unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the best of what the outdoor areas had to offer but the views were breathtaking regardless. Melanie’s place was extremely clean and everything was provided and then some! Everyone in our group would like to go back in warmer months to spend more time outside. Before we got there, Melanie explained that there was an issue with one of the sinks in the cabins and said she would credit us accordingly. I thought that was great! It did not hinder or create a problem whatsoever! I hope we get to make it back sometime!

We enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet area, nice comfortable space. The gravel road leading in (maybe a half-mile long) and driveway gave us a good area for morning and evening dog walks. We did not end up doing any fishing but the pond looked like a great place for kayak fishing. Not specific to the house but in the area: Rita's Cafe in Weems was great (food truck on a small road)--Chef Craige usually has a special and some regular menu items. Leadbellys (at Fairport Marina) had good oysters and hush puppies and was convenient for our first night. River Market in White Stone has good food to be ordered at the rear counter and prepared items in the coolers. Out of the Oven Bakery (White Stone) had great bread Miss Mary's seafood, also in White Stone had great fresh fish and prepared items. The three places in White Stone are very close to each other so convenient when running out.

Staying at Shawna and Keith's cabin was a wonderful experience. Peaceful and serene, it was relaxing just to wake up in this private oasis. Shawna and Keith were very friendly and easy to get in touch with if we had any questions. They even provided items for some of the activities we decided to try while staying there. The cabin was clean, quaint, quiet, well-equipped; and looked exactly as described. We would definitely return for another weekend getaway! Thanks again!

What a gem! This cabin hidden in the woods is a perfect getaway location! The cabin itself has great heat and A/C (I got to experience both over 3+ weeks!), excellent hot water pressure in the shower, and the most comfortable bed! In addition, it's fully equipped with everything you could possibly need! Beyond the cabin, the woods are so peaceful, with deer, foxes, squirrels, and badgers! The dogs and I loved our multiple walks per day with not a person in sight. To top it off, Ted is the nicest host I've ever had! So wonderfully friendly and responsive. I hope to stay here again soon!

The cottage was wonderful; Beautiful inside and out. Cheryl provides accommodations I have never had at any other rentals, such as a stocked coffee bar, snacks, drinks and even food items. The cottage was so welcoming and we enjoyed the peacefulness the area offers. Cheryl commumunicated throughout and we appreciated her thoughtfulness. We will definitely recommend this cottage to others looking for a tranquil getaway.

The cabin was perfect for our little family, super comfortable and cute little space, with beautiful surroundings. Check in was a breeze and they even had the heat turned on before our arrival (it was a really cold day) and the porch lights were left on for us, we felt very welcomed. We would definitely book this place again next time we visit st marys county. Thank you Daniel!

We are two families that met up for a relaxing getaway after celebrating a high school graduation. This was the perfect place. The downstairs had lots of games and a big screen for them to hook their switch up to. We watched movies upstairs. And use the well-equipped kitchen each night to make a big dinner. The kids took the kayaks and canoe out one afternoon as well. Although I would say they definitely wouldn’t swim there. Compass entertainment complex is very close and they enjoyed their time there. We also went to a movie there one night. It is a beautiful home in a peaceful setting. Especially down on the dock at night. It was very quiet. We would definitely recommend this home.

Idalma was a very great host. Beautiful property filled with green space. There are places to go for entertainment very close by. Also is very peaceful at night! Highly recommend and will happily book again in the near future!

This was one of my first trips at an air bnb and it was amazing. It was a bit dusty, but out in the woods like that it’s bound to be. The forest was beautiful, and the disconnect from my average day to day was made perfect by my experience here. From the local trails to the small pizza place nearby, this location was something special.

This was an incredible stay — the property is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful! We were constantly in awe of the nature and how expansive the land is. We loved using the bikes to explore, the pool was absolutely amazing, and the sitting areas by the numerous ponds were perfect for relaxing and having a picnic. During our stay, we looked up more about the area and found that this is the historic Woodlawn Plantation, which has a history tied to slavery. That’s something we hadn’t realized beforehand, and we took time for moments of reflection out of respect for that history. It would have been meaningful to see that acknowledged on-site. Overall, this was a beautiful stay, and Gerri was so incredibly helpful and very easy to talk to ☺️.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alexander and his wife's charming cottage, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, Alex and his wife were incredibly accommodating and helpful, ensuring we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage itself was cozy and well-maintained, offering everything we required for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking sunset views. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from the dock was simply mesmerizing. The location is also ideal—just a short 10-minute drive to downtown St. Michaels, where we enjoyed exploring the local shops and restaurants. The hosts truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome, and it shows in every aspect of their hospitality. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat.

This Airbnb truly felt like staying in someone's home. There were lots of items provided in the house -- from toys in the cabinets, to records to listen to and the kitchen was very well stocked with pans, plates and seasonings. Outside we loved using the crab pots (though we came up empty and didnt catch any crabs) and lighting a fire at the fire pit at night.

Elizabeth's house was perfect for our weekend stay in St. Michael's. The house sits right on the water about a 5 minute drive from the center of town. It was the perfect home base for the Ironman event we were attending in Cambridge. Elizabeth was incredibly responsive and provided thoughtful recommendations for our stay. If we are in the area again we will certainly stay again.

The place was bust absolutely beautiful. My 8yr old daughter and I stayed for a weekend getaway and there was so much to do! There’s a lot of wild life; from finding turtles, catching frogs, and checking out all the birds around the pond. My daughter and I spent hours in the canoes and had a fire each night! There were also plenty amenities at the house and within 10min from all the local food spots. The host was more than accommodating and very friendly as well! Will absolutely be coming back in the future!
