Cottage holiday rentals in Sproxton

Me and my girlfriend had such an amazing time at this place. We’ve had something similar in the past but this one takes the cake. Very private and has an amazing view. Close to the road so sometimes you’ll hear people walking past and cars. But at night you can sit in the hot tub and enjoy looking at the stars. In our case we saw a shooting star while sat in the hot tub. I would 100% suggest this to friends and come again.!!!! Thank you

Check in was really simple and directions to find the place were spot on. Communication was excellent and we felt that we could contact the owners if we needed to. We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider stopping again if visiting the area in the future. The house smelt freshly cleaned when we arrived and was in a peaceful location. It was great to have a small selection of toiletries as well as coffee/tea provided - thank you. Bed linen and towels were clean and smelt lovely.

This was our second stay at The Stable House. The cottage is beautiful, well presented, and spotless. We love the peaceful area, and the views are stunning. The hot tub is a brilliant place to relax on an evening. Sandra and Steve are excellent hosts. They sent detailed instructions on how to access the property, provided a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and gave a range of suggestions about the local area. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Devonshire Arms on our final evening. The cottage is well situated to visit a range of different places in the area or to pop into Nottingham itself. Would definitely stay again.

From the moment we stepped inside we felt right at home. Everything we needed was included and the whole place was clean and tidy. Both hosts were incredibly responsive and Laurence came out to help us in a timely manner when we needed assistance.

This was our second year staying at the cottage. Like last time it was a wonderful holiday and we were sad to go. That Cottage feels like a second home to all of us. And we will be coming again next year. The property is beautiful and cosy. The surrounding area makes you feel so relaxed within nature. In the mornings we were able to see a barn owl on the garden fence. If you want somewhere to relax and unwind in the country I cannot recommend The Cottage enough.

Karen & her husband were fantastic hosts. Both were really friendly & were able to recommend really nice places to visit & to eat. The Green Man which was recommended was fab & we got 10% off the meals with a card that was in the place that we stopped. The Hot Tub was fantastic & enclosed so was very private. The place was really clean, comfortable & lovely to stop in for our weekend away. Lincoln was only a short drive away. North Hykeham had a Co-op for grabbing essentials which was a 3 min drive. Karen gave precise & clear instructions for finding their lovely little place prior to coming & check in was super easy. Key code was provided & we was in. When we arrived, there was a lemon cake waiting for us, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, ceareals for a day, a loaf of fresh bread, butter & jam. Such a lovely surprise & wasn't expected. Thank you for a really lovely weekend.

What a wonderful stay in Tibshelf!! Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Check in was easy and smooth and the place was easy to find from Jennie’s clear instructions. We felt so relaxed the whole time we were there and we cannot wait to go back again! Thank you Jennie for the perfect stay and your guidebook, we had some lovely meals out from your recommendations. 5 Stars all round!!

Very good let us check in early and very responsive lake was full of carp managed to get around 9 between us in only a few hours would definitely recommend 👍👍

We had a lovely stay at Blossom Hill. It was perfect! Shaun and Joy are very friendly and gave us loads of good recommendations for walks in the area! It was so peaceful being in the English countryside away from the hustle and bustle of a city. Thank you again!

Always a pleasure staying here. I have stayed during the festival period over the last three years and it's always so convenient. It's a beautiful cottage in a beautiful little village. Would love to come back again!

We were very comfortable at the cottage. It was charming and well equipped. It was ideally situated near to the Castle and the Cathedral. The car parking instructions were clear and easily accessible. There was a parking permit for our car on the street nearby or in an adjacent car park. We would like to return in the future. We have family in Lincoln

We had an amazing stay here. The location is quiet, with incredible hill views from the bedroom window. Not too far from Derby centre either. Would definitely stay again!!

It was a privilege to be able to stay in such a beautiful setting. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding countryside. The cottage was very homely and we really appreciated the provisions provided. Personally, I was in horse heaven! Thank you so much, Caroline, Roger and Lucy. We definitely would want to come back.

The accommodation was faultless, the barns (there are 3 with identical layouts attached together) have been so well designed, the ground floor is all open plan with a large mezzanine area upstairs for bedroom and bathroom, everywhere feels spacious and the barn is well furnished . The purpose of our stay was business and after a hard days work it was a delight to arrive to discover the above and relax. That evening we subsequently booked for the next week as we have a nearby business and using an Airbnb cuts out 3 hours daily commuting.

Anna was so helpful and friendly when we arrived. The cottage is lovely and having bread, butter, preserves and grinola for breakfast was an added and welcome bonus. The surroundings are lovely. A short walk takes you to the pub where the evening meals were great, reasonably priced and not ‘ping ping’ (microwaved). Thank you, Anna for allowing us to stay one night. We’ll be back in the Autumn.

Wow! What a beautiful place! Jo was great and very welcoming, the home was lovely, clean and perfect for what we needed it for! Would absolutely recommend to anyone, we will 100% be back, thank you!

We (family of 4) had a wonderful stay at the property. The house is absolutely amazing, it has absolutely anything one might need and some extra. The location extremely convenient in Oakham. The hosts are extremely nice!

We weren’t able to stay, due to unforeseeable circumstances. However, Jan was very helpful in communicating with us and arranging for the stay to be changed.

Greenman Cottage was perfect for a short break for us. Cosy but comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. Martha was a great host and easy to communicate with!

We had a wonderful stay at Gregory Cottage. The location is lovely and peaceful, and the cottage itself is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Suzanna was an amazing host, and we will definitely be back! Bethan & Omar
