Emil's saddle at Herdalssetra

Want to stay for a while between mountains, clean streams and rivers and pets, but without internet coverage, mobile coverage or electricity? Herdalssetra has traditional mountain farms in the middle of a beautiful landscape with exciting geology. The mountain farmers lived here in the summers when everyone cared for their own animals, now it can be your turn :) This is Norway's largest goat farm in operation, there are also horses, sheep and cows. Herdalssetra is part of the UNESCO World Heritage area Geiranger - Herdal.

This recently (2025) renovated family cabin has an amazing view of the Geirangerfjord and the mountains surrounding it. It is located just a few hundred meters away from downtown Geiranger. With free parking and everything Geiranger has to offer only a stone's throw away, you are all set for unique experience.
