Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sullivan County

Our stay at Thorne Haven was exactly what we hoped it would be and then some. The kitchen had everything we needed (even some things we didn't know we needed...impromptu white gravy with the planned breakfast sausage) and the dining room fit us all (with an amazing view)! The guest rooms were comfortable and private, we had lots of "together" space and plenty of opportunity to step away as well. The activities were endless with something for everyone: the game room(s), the movie and/or reading options, board games, the hot tub, the lower deck, large yard for football/Frisbee/tag and the pond! But I think one of our favorite things was being able to have a fire in the main fireplace every day...so cozy and welcoming (suggest bringing a little of your own wood if you keep it going like we did)! Our family had the ideal get away: from the grandparents right down to the grandchildren & grand dogs! Thorne Haven is truly like a home away from home feeling and we will definitely go back.

Very nice place to stay. The cabin was super nice inside. Very close to Ricketts glen state park. 10 min drive time. Also the grocery store and some places to eat were also 10 mins away. Very private. My wife and I loved it

We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Alison was super responsive to any questions I had. Overnight one night, we received several inches of snow and, before we left the house around 8am the next morning, someone had already come to plow the driveway, which we were extremely grateful for. We are grateful for a great rental in Eagles Mere!

My family of 4 had a great stay. We were in town for the World’s End Ultra. The place was convenient for driving to and from World’s End State Park. We had a few delicious meals in Eagles Mere during our stay. My teen boys enjoyed kayaking on the lake. My family and I also enjoyed walks around the lake and sitting around the outdoor fire pit.

Really comfortable farmhouse on an amazing property. Quiet, peaceful, and some great vistas. We loved it here and hope to come back soon.

The family had a great time considering the damp weather. There was a lot to do with the great selection of board games and just hanging out in the back screen porch. The kids did enjoy grabbing the firewood in the woods. The location was also spot on very close to World’s End State Park.

Wonderful area. Lots to do. Felt right at home. VERY peaceful and relaxing. Everything is basically provided for you. If you enjoy wine, the winery is within walking distance. Would love to stay again!

I had one of the most beautiful weekends in this huge and cozy home . Marlon was very responsive and kind , I had a little trouble with the washer/dryer machine and he helped me right away . I’ll definitely come back and I recommend this house 100% . We loved it ❤️

Ran out of towels due to the hot tub, but we were able to get more pretty fast. Everyone running the place was great and respectful of our time and privacy there. There's essential spices and dishes to cook. The hot tub was great, the hosts are great, place is great, worth my money for sure.

Highly recommend this place! Everyone was super friendly — from the host to the pets. If you hear loud thudding, it is most likely the washer and dryer. It sure gave us a heart attack in the middle of the night!

Ahhh where to start? This place had EVERYTHING we needed to make our stay exactly what we had hoped for. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need from cookware to serving dishes. The game room was spacious and offered plenty of options for hosting a party of 10 for several meals together including a bar area with an ice machine! The great room was perfect for a cozy late night movie! So many bathrooms and bedrooms! The front porch was so peaceful! Layout of the land: from the hot tub on the patio, to the softball and volleyball areas, the nearby covered bridge and just over the bank creekside, we truly enjoyed this location! The only reason I wouldn’t recommend it to potential renters is so that it’s never unavailable for myself. We definitely plan to return!

Adriana was a very responsive host. When we had an issue, she attempted to correct it right away and offered a partial refund when it could not be fixed on a Sunday. Nice neighborhood.

The pictures do not do this property justice. Beautiful house, property and furnishings. This is an ideal location for anyone who loves nature and wants to get away from it all. The house is huge, full kitchen plenty of amenities, numerous rooms, very comfortable and spotless. The cherry on top was the host! David is extremely gracious and very accommodating. We are looking forward to returning to enjoy this property more!

The place is an absolute GEM! If relaxation and peaceful sorroundings is what you are looking for, look no further this place is amazing. The owner was very responsive to my questions and was really clear on the instructions of how to get in to the house. I will defenitely be coming back.

This place is great, but as Benjamin says in the description, please don’t think it’s the Taj Mahal. It is a very rustic setting which is exactly what we wanted. You don’t see anyone else if you don’t want to. We came the week after Christmas and it was beautiful with all the snow! Do not attempt it if there is snow and you don’t have 4-wheel, you may not make it. It was perfect for what we wanted. No cell reception AT ALL. I was in SOS mode the entire time. HOWEVER, the Wi-Fi was excellent so I could Wi-Fi call or FaceTime with anyone I needed to. Benjamin was very informative and very honest about the place. There is nothing wrong with it, though. It was comfortable and used and loved. It needs some updating but was clean and I didn’t have any issues. My only complaint was the Hot Tub. It was not working and that was the reason we had picked the place. I asked Benjamin about it and he gave me instructions to get it filled and running but that wasn’t for us. Just ask him prior to.

Beautiful surroundings, cozy interior, well stocked with everything needed for the stay. Had a wonderful time fishing on a gold rated stream. Highly recommended, will be staying here again next year.

This is everything you could hope for and more. Scott is an incredible host. The house is absolutely incredible! Price is overly reasonable for what you get with the property. Anyone staying here will see exactly what I mean as soon as you pull up to the house. Once you walk in, it's one amazing experience after another. There was 4 of us who stayed and every single one of us were video chatting with all our families showing them just how truly amazing this place was! Thank you Scott for a wonderful experience.

The house was great and was a fantastic location! The Loyalsock creek in the backyard was amazing and the kids had a blast fishing! Linda was great to work with, responsive and very proactive about our stay! I would highly recommend this place for a peaceful, relaxing retreat!

We had the best winter family gathering at this lovely, well equipped and very comfortable home. Wonderful gathering places in the living, dining and kitchen areas made for a fun and welcoming environment for meals, conversations, games and socializing. We were lucky to visit during the opening weekend of the Eagles Mere historic toboggan slide. We had the best time riding the toboggan and walking around the frozen lake during a frigid couple of days. Afterwards, we relaxed at the house and warmed up by the wood burning stove, playing games and enjoying family meals. Bedrooms and baths were comfortable and well suited for our group of 6 adults. We were very happy with our stay and thank our hosts for their hospitality and the privilege of enjoying their lovely home. We recommend a stay!

We loved our stay. Simply loved it. Slept so well, escaped the stress. It is as close as you can get to the most beautiful waterfall park in the entire world. It's just lovely. It's low maintenance simple beauty. To be with family or the one you love, that's really what this place is great for, memories.

Great, updated cabin. Good amenities inside. Only suggestion would be to add a throw blanket for the living room and maybe some bowls in the kitchen, but these are small suggestions and wouldn’t stop me from recommending or staying again!
