I almost wish I could keep this place a secret and not write a review so that people don't visit and the place remains hidden in the vast, beautiful and alive wilderness. But here I am. This is a place for peace lovers, sunset lovers and mother nature's devotees. If you do come here, I hope you make sustainable choices and get to dive deep into nature's secrets with open and loving hearts. Happy travel!

La Maison is outstanding. It's built with meticulous attention to detail, fantastic for a solo traveller or couple to find a spot to relax and unwind. It's right in the heart of the village and surrounded by a lot of good cafes and buzzing spots which attracts a wide variety of eclectic people from musicians to artists to writers and of course the regular get out of the city tourist types. What was surprising is how good the in house food was and the simple fare was far better than any of the cafes around. The caretaker is a patient bustling lad who will constantly take care of your needs and orchestrate a great experience. Sapna was not in town but has the pleasure of meeting Ishaan who with his radiant halo can put some sparkly gurus to shame. Ishan of course is a local now, and loves the place and has devoted his life to passionately build up a small nook that towers over much larger and moneyed resorts to shame. Must visit, and stay for a few days at least and enjoy the beauty

The most serene and peaceful stay I've ever had been to. With cute furry friends to play with and amazing hosts to talk to, the place completely felt like a home away from home! It's perfect for family/group of friends to enjoy some quality time <3 Do go out for the forest walk nearby and enjoy the pristine beauty. (don't litter please)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was extremely comfortable, offering a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The ambience throughout the property was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, making the entire experience feel serene and luxurious. One of the highlights was the stunning views – a treat to wake up to. The food was equally impressive, with various delicious options catering to different tastes. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and great dining. The only issue was the non-availability of the network or internet connection. If you are thinking about doing office chores from your hotel room, then this might not be the place for you.

You will rightly feel home away from home. Great host, they will care of all your small needs. Good great views from the balcony and food will take you back to nostalgia.

At YogMatra EcoStay there is no reason to leave & i ended up staying for 2 weeks! 🥰 I enjoyed delicious, freshly cooked meals mainly made from the local vegetables.😋 When the sun was out, I took a bath in the river/waterfall nearby in the cleanest and most refreshing himalayan spring water. The surrounding meadows invited me to practice yoga and meditation.🧘🏼‍♀️ Although, I hardly could communicate with the village people I was welcomed warm-heartedly by everyone and regularly invited for a cup of hot & sweet chai. 🫖 Even though the EcoStay is located at such a remote high altitude location, the mudhouse is equipped with all necessities: e.g. warm showers are possible 🛁🫧Ahhh, and the view from the balcony - stunning. When you open your room door you can witness the sunrise and the himalayan peaks from your bed. 🌄 Mohit, the helping hand keeps the place clean, tidy and makes the best Chapatis! 😊 And lots of cuddles to Kittu & Kali 🐈🐕Thanks for making my stay so comfortable. When I think of what my expectations were of The Himalayan Mountains, this is what we would expect! This place was not only a little piece of heaven, so peaceful and serene. I had only wished to stay forever. Our hosts were so lovely and helpful and I will tell you from the street. It looks nothing like when you walk down and your breaths taken away by this gorgeous view. To wake with floor to ceiling window view of the mountains, so close, you can see people working in the fields. The terrace felt like an Italian countryside. The family was so lovely and helpful and the food, home-cooked and just so lovely. Anything we could want they would happily provide. Including evening bonfires and a nice cup of tea, even complimentary cake. We wish them so much success, and you need to make this a spot of your pilgrimage to Badrinath. We even had the inside scoop and special entry to Badrinath because the owners uncle worked in the temple. Forever garteful for this experience. Many blessing!

One of the best stays and properties I've stayed in. Peaceful and felt like home, with amazing views and hosts. Highly recommended.
