House holiday rentals in Tangalle Beach

We cannot describe how amazing our stay was. This is the best place in whole Sri Lanka. We stayed here with our 1.5y old toddler and we all loved the villa. Swimming pool is suitable for a kid and rooms are very nice and clean. Location also is great. Away from the city noise but close enough to the beach. Amazing host Kanishka drove us everywhere with his tuk tuk. We booked this place for 4 nights but we loved it here so much that we cancelled our flight and stayed 10 more days. And the best part of it is the familly who owns the villa. So kind and frendly people. They will do anything for you to make your stay unforgettable. Kanishkas mother can cook you the most amazing food. His sister and mother also babysit our toddler which was amazing. We felt like a part of their family. The kindest people we have met. There are monkeys coming by every morning and evening. Perfect additioin to superb villa. If you are visiting Sri Lanka we highly recommend this place. You will be in love.

Нам повезло и мы смогли заселиться пораньше. Всю нужную информацию мне скинули на восап. По приезде нас встретил Гайан и Ириш. Ириш был очень добр, мы видели его каждый день, когда он приходил убирать территорию. Наличие бассейна это абсолютный плюс на этой вилле. Мы купались в нем и утром и вечером. До моря пешком 3 минуты. В это время не многолюдно и почти на всех пляжах нет людей. По тангалле лучше передвигаться на байках, чтобы посетить различные пляжи и кафе. Пешком от виллы мы ходили в прекрасный ресторан в 10 минутах. В общем мы ничуть не пожалели и вспоминали эту виллу всю оставшуюся поездку.

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Bei Rückfragen oder Anliegen waren sowohl Darshan als auch der Hauswärter Upatissa immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Besonders die Flora und Fauna des Anwesens war toll - wir haben Pfaue, Affen, Katzen, Frösche, Eichhörnchen und Vögel gesehen. Der Pool war auch eine tolle Möglichkeit, sich abzukühlen. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne guten Gewissens weiter :)

Trop cher pour ce que c’est par rapport à ce qui se fait au Sri Lanka, mais en dehors du prix c’est un logement agréable proche de la plage, avec une belle piscine.

Herausragende Unterkunft, wir haben mit 5 Personen drei Nächte verbracht. Das Haus ist in sehr gutem Zustand, sehr große und schöne Zimmer. Wohn- und Essbereich großzügig, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr freundliches Team, Frühstück nach Wahl, gut und frisch zubereitet. WLAN, Klimaanlage, TV, Boombox und Geräte neu und funktionstüchtig. Bäder sehr schön und geräumig. Pool und Garten sehr gepflegt und groß, Meer- und Strandzugang. Insgesamt eine besondere Villa die den Preis wert ist. Vielen Dank ans Team und die Vermieter!

Pobyt u Anthonego, jego cudownej żony i pracowników to najlepsza rzecz, która przytrafiła się nam na Sri Lance. Wspólne wieczory, lokalne opowieści, genialna kuchnia sprawiają że nie chcesz z tamtąd wyjeżdżać, tylko zostać jak najdłużej. Każdego dnia naszego pobytu wyspa przegrywała z miejscem Anthonego 😂 super klimat, bez nadęcia i ściemniania. Fajnie, rodzinnie i na luzie. Anthony i Thilinee są super zabawni i pomocni w każdym temacie 😉

I spent 3 nights at Abhaya Villas and loved every minute of it. The property is well maintained, clean and as the listing describes - right opposite the sea. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was large and clean and the common area and the kitchen was also clean and decently stocked. Shaun was super responsive and helpful throughout and made it very easy for us to communicate, despite being out of the country. Ruwan, the caretaker was also very helpful. All in all, the perfect place for a nice, quiet beach time in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend!

Sadisha was a great host. He greeted us with coconuts, gave us recommendations and also a free ride to the silent beach (which by the way is only a 20 minute walk away) The space is clean, the rooms are large and there is also plenty of fans and AC. The kitchen is well equipped and he gave us a gallon of filtered drinking water. The outdoor shower is lovely. Overall, for the price, I highly recommend this place for a family or group of friends.

We really loved our stay at Amila’s. So much we extended for almost 3 weeks. The home was so clean and cozy. The garden was beautiful. Felt very private and peaceful. It was the perfect place to unwind, and disconnect. Amila provided water and beers, which was a nice added touch. And if you pay him his agreed upon price, he’ll drive you into town to get supplies/food you may need. Many restaurants are nearby. Our two favorites were Ruwani (right across the street), but especially Turtle Kingdom further down the beach to the right. Both family run businesses with great food and great prices for the southern province. Felt like a nice community in the area. Had many peaceful walks and saw so much wildlife. The beach was unlike any other. So much raw-natural beauty. It went on forever. The water in the area is very rough and not the best for swimming, but we still loved every bit of our experience. Would highly recommend staying at The See Turtle Villa. We already want to return.

Schönes privates Häusschen im Grünen. Man hat sich direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war relativ gross, sauber und hat sogar einen privaten Garten. In wenigen Minuten sind zwei wunderschöne Buchten mit Badestrand zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber lief fehlerfrei und zeitnah. Würde die Unterkunft jederzeit nochmals buchen.

This is an extremely cozy house! It is located a little bit deep from the main roads, so it is silence and calm here. I enjoyed here with birds, palms, nature sounds. I was surprised with small quantity of mosquitos here, but for your safety hosts provide you with mosquito net. Oh, God, how it's wonderful to sleep with open doors and windows here - it's smell, sounds..perfect! And to be honest I even didn't use a fan during night's, because the temperature was absolutely comfortable. The villa has rather good WiFi and if you are a remote worker it will suite to you (the day temperature is also good when you open windows and use fan, there is no necessity in AC). Hosts are absolutely cute and caring about you! But villa is located rather far from any shops and beaches (apr. 10 min by bike) - so bike or tuktuk are absolutely necessary here, and there is not a problem to reach this location. Having traveled the entire coast from Galle, I do not want to change this place of living.

Die Unterkunft war definitiv die schönste unserer ganzen Reise. Es sah genauso aus wie auf den Fotos und wir fühlten uns unfassbar wohl! Morgens seinen Kaffee und Frühstück auf der wunderschönen Terasse zu trinken war ein Highlight. Die Gastgeberin und Mitarbeiterin waren sehr nett und haben uns beispielsweise von der Straße mit einem tuktuk abgeholt, als wir den Eingang nicht direkt gefunden haben. Wir konnten über die Unterkunft auch direkt super leicht Roller mieten und uns tuktuks in den nächsten Ort organisieren. In der Gegend gibt es leider bis auf ein paar Restaurants (die super sind) nicht so viel (keine richtige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten), jedoch ist z.B der Jungle Beach nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt und unfassbar schön!

This was hands down the best spot we found in Hiriketiya. It's just far enough from the busy center to enjoy total peace and quiet, but still only a 5-minute drive by bike to all the beach vibes, cafés, and restaurants Hiriketiya has to offer. The place itself is beautiful—super clean, modern, and brand new. The view is absolutely stunning, and waking up to the sunrise right from bed was a daily highlight. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to share tips and help with anything we needed. We felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend this gem if you're looking for a calm, comfortable, and scenic stay in Hiriketiya!

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!

Harshana and family are excellent hosts. I was looking for a quiet vacation spot and that's what I found. Access to multiple markets for purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables, beach life including surfing lessons, rentals and cabana life, are all within walking distance. Suggestions for local specialties and eateris are encouraged. Treat bags gifts with Hoppers, and fresh baked goods made me experiment more with local delicacies. This stay will be tough to beat. Finally, Matara's people are friendly and helpful. As good as the world could ask for.

We had a very comfortable stay only 5 min walk away from the stunning Hiriketiya beach. Strongly recommend getting breakfast from the hosts it is delicious and authentic for an unbeatable price. Thank you again for the hospitality, we felt very welcome.

Great place to stay. Very close to silent beach, only a few minutes by foot. One of the most beautiful beaches we have seen here. Closeby to a local store and tuk tuks for easy transport. His family also supported with a taxi service, very friendly and reliable. Would highly recommended staying here.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft auf riesigem Privatgelände mit eigenem Strandzugang. Der Strand wirkt wie eine Privatbucht und während unserem Aufenthalt waren dort keine andere Menschen. Es gibt eine gut ausgestattete Küche und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Für uns die beste Unterkunft, die wir bisher besuchen durften.

Very nice villa with all amenities needed. Beautiful garden directly on the beach. Some nice restaurants nearby. Very helpful and friendly host. You get a massive villa for a good price. For families with small children you should know that not all beds/bedrooms are in the same building.

The lost art of Air BnB - thank you Sue for creating a beautiful space that felt like our home away from home. The place is decorated so beautifully- dark wood and rattan furniture with fun modern accents. Kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy breakfast and fresh coffee. The yoga mats on top and a killer book collection?! Chefs kiss!! We travel so much and we look for beautiful spaces like this that standout on our journeys. Great location, great vibe, great experience. Thank you again for having us and sharing such a beautifully curated space.

The Namaskara Villa is pure heaven! Large and clean with very comfortable king size bed. Two toilets, spacious bathroom with hot shower and stars above your head was absolute dream. The kitchen is very well equiped for cooking, but we didn't cook at all, because we took advantage of possibility of having daily lunch and dinner from Malkanthí who is excellent chef! Malkanthí and Ruhunu took care of us not only with the dinners and lunches, they also did cleaning and shopping for us to keep our fridge full, because there is no supermarket nearby the villa. The garden is nice, full of wildlife and the ocean is just in front of the place. It is not so private as I expected, there were some fishermans nearby every day.

Wonderful stay and the property was amazing with access to the beach right outside the back gate. Couldn’t recommend enough!
