This place was more than just a stay for us. This was an experience to witness humanity and humility at its best. When we booked this place we had an exhausting trip from Shimla to reckong peo and we were running late so badly due to a landslide that all the shops and restaurants were also closed. At that moment to find a stay where the hosts were so nice to not only guide us to their location continuously but also offer to cook dinner for us. The rooms and stay was great and the dinner they cooked was cherry on top. Next morning they allowed us to even explore their apple garden and it was absolutely beautiful. One of the most memorable stays of my life and I recommend everyone if you want to stay anywhere in kalpa/reckong peo look no further than this.

Folktales Residency is as romantic and folksy as it sounds. The wooden home is decorated beautifully. It’s an ideal place for solo travellers and people who are looking to relax in a picturesque location. The collection of books that the host has are enviable. The entire vibe of the place was perfect- warm and cosy, artistic, for the imaginative! And the food is definitely one of the best I have had. Ishaan was welcoming even though I arrived at siesta time, he’s friendly and takes care of the guests. I had the best of time and I look forward to staying there again soon. Location is 5-10 minutes from where Rakchham meadows begin. Property is surrounded by mountains and greenery.

Good place to halt before you begin your journey to the beautiful Kinnaur region. The host and cook (Mr Jeevan and Gopal) are very friendly and and they made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Host Bhupesh is responsive and available on call if you need any assistance.The homestay has nice view of snow capped mountains. The amenities are as per listing and basic. Bhimakali temple, Hawa Garh and Monastery (walkable) are short drive (5 to 15 mins) from here. Overall, if you’re are looking for budget friendly accommodation then this is one of good homestay around Sarahan.

Situated a few kms off the jeori-kalpa highway, it's a great accommodation for travellers going to the spiti valley. Mr. Jitesh and his family were extremely hospitable, and provided all the help that they could. The food was exactly how you'd expect-like home, and very delicious. The family who hosted us were very warm and made us feel like home, and we'd love to stay here again whenever the opportunity arrives to travel to Spiti.

Kalpa is gorgeous n it’s my second time visiting this place . But this place is a lil above Kalpa and that’s what makes it stand out . Three little domes in front of Kinner Kailash makes it so dreamy . We arrived in great weather followed by an evening of sub zero o temperatures . The dome was well insulated n had electric blankets n a blower to combat the cold . The next morning was again bright n sunny . It’s a gorgeous place but we got the dome which is a little obstructed by the roof of their building . So choose one which a clear view n enjoy Fayyul retreat .

Very Excited to share my experience as i was initially concerned about the place but it turn out to be my one of the best experience, this place is very peaceful, scenic view and comfortable stay. Hospitality is top notch and home cooked food is delicious 😋. Nikita and her family is doing awesome job, they can help you and guide you all the best option for nearby travel. An idyllic apple orchard stay overlooking the majestic snow capped mountains. The place is clean and well maintained. One gets lip smacking home cooked food including non vegetarian as need be. One can take a stroll around the farm and the village to explore. Paved footpaths, some eateries in Main village which is a 5 min walk. Ideal location, off the main village for the quiet and yet accessible in 5 min from the temple.
