“Very tidy, clean & lovely Airbnb with well equipped on what you needs. A good bed, nice bathroom with modern style. We have a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. There is a small farm next to the place which have donkey & alpaca. Furthermore, Julian was fast response & clearly explained the road detour to her place. We are looking forward to staying here again one day.”
Welcome to The Studio, your private space with fantastic views! An eclectic hideaway adjacent to Darryl's new Frost & Fire Art Gallery. Enjoy our perfect location between Mapua and Motueka to discover our magnificent region. Located on Tasman's Great Taste Trail cycleway.
“I had an amazing stay at The Studio. It's a lovely quiet location, while still being close to Motueka and Mapua for shopping, good restaurants and pubs etc. There are beautiful beaches close by on Kina Peninsula, wineries in the hills behind the property and it's only a short drive to Kaiteriteri, Marahau and Abel Tasman National Park. The property itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed and decorated with stylish furniture and artwork. There's a private outdoor area of decking at the rear with a great view of the nearby hills and the bay. Darryl is a professional artist and sculptor so you'll find a lot of his impressive work both in and around the place. The gardens look great too, with palms, fruit vines and colourful flowers all around while I was there. Tania and Darryl are super friendly and always happy to help with local knowledge and any other questions. They're located in another property on the same land, so are accessible, but happy to give you privacy and space as well. They're very responsive to any queries and are both interesting and very likeable people. I've stayed in many Air B&B properties, which have all been good, but this was my best and most memorable stay. I'd recommend the property highly to anyone looking for a peaceful, cosy, stylish place to relax and enjoy the NZ life style and/or as a base to explore the coast, wineries and national parks at the top end of the South Island.”
Welcome to Oaks Cottage, a delightful self contained unit set in 3.5 acres of beautiful gardens and paddocks, in the heart of the thriving rural idyll of the Moutere valley. The cottage is a perfect couples retreat, offering affordable luxury, expansive mountain views and a quiet garden setting. It is not only ideally located to explore all the 'Top of the South' has to offer including its wonderful golden beaches, but offers the opportunity to relax and unwind within a beautiful rural setting.
“The cottage is nicely decorated and warm since there are heaters and a log fire. The kitchen is well equipped and we were provided with pasta, rice, oats, quite a variety of spices and teas. Jac welcomed us with a bottle of wine, fresh eggs, feijoas, honey and home made quince jelly (all available at our arrival). The bed linen is of good quality too. Jac was very helpful and gave us tips on what to visit too. We had a lovely time visiting the area. You need to walk a few meters from the cottage only to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We made friends with the house's pig and chickens. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you Jac.”
