Te Tiro Cottage Two & Glowworms

We have two beautiful “Pioneer-style” cottages nestled in amongst the stunning Waitomo landscape. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the central North Island and mountains in our two self-contained, pioneer-style cottages (sleep 4 persons). - Cottage set-up to sleep 4 people - 2 Adults and 2 children - 2 Couple (Cozy) The price is for a up to 4 guests. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We are a 15-20 minute drive past the Waitomo Village so it pays to eat before you come up or bring supplies with you. There is a two element cook top and a microwave. The cottage is one room with a queen bed down and a small loft above that has two single mattresses in it. Cosy but cute. Each cottage has its own bathroom about 8 steps from the cottage. We would love you to come and share our little piece of paradise. The accommodation is nestled within a bush setting on top of a hill where you can see out over the whole central north Island. You even have your own grotto only meters from your door where you can sit quietly surrounded by a galaxy of Glow-worms. Enjoy the starry nights and peace and quiet of the country. You are more them welcome to wander around the farmland and enjoy the fantastic views, check out the Dab Chick Pond and beautiful native bush. Amazing views/Glowworms/Native bush/Caves/Black Water Rafting. If we are not going to be home there is still family around to help out if needed. Check in is from 3pm/ check out at 10am.

Waitomo self contained unit

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis after your long drive or your exciting cave experience. Very comfy Queen bed. Only 28 metres off State Highway 39, 2km northwest of the lovely town of Otorohanga. 15 mins drive to Waitomo Caves 2 minutes drive to town. Situated 15 metres from the main house, the unit is private and secure, with car park alongside unit. Easy entry - just walk in, there is a key inside. Good wifi, modern TV, microwave, jug, breakfast in the fridge - cereal, milk.

Handy to the Timber Trail and Waitomo Caves. Lots of local walks featuring waterfalls and stunning rock formations which can also be enjoyed here on the farm. Handy to Hairy Feet, film location of Lord of the Rings, a great Golf Course and the well known Berry Orchards. Not to mention a pool to cool off! We also welcome horses😊

Relax and unwind to the sound of birds in the trees, sheep moving through the paddocks and a little family of Quails strolling by every now and again while breathing in the fresh country air. We are located 11 minutes to Otorohanga where you will find numerous Cafes, Restaurants and eating places. Also the Kiwi House is worth a look along with the Sir Edmund Hilary walkway. Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, Black Water Rafting and the Ruakuri Bush Walk is a short 20 minute drive away.
