The Studio at Woodfort Estate

Our studio is perfectly placed for stunning views of our mountain and rolling hill landscapes. A weekend get away or longer retreat will be rewarded with privacy and peace to relax inside or on the spacious patio that captures amazing afternoon sunshine and sun sets! The main bedroom is detached from the living and kitchen, which has a fold out couch for extra guests. Relax in the outdoor bath and enjoy the simplicity of living off grid without lacking to many home comforts. Toilet is detached.

Waitomo self contained unit

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis after your long drive or your exciting cave experience. Very comfy Queen bed. Only 28 metres off State Highway 39, 2km northwest of the lovely town of Otorohanga. 15 mins drive to Waitomo Caves 2 minutes drive to town. Situated 15 metres from the main house, the unit is private and secure, with car park alongside unit. Easy entry - just walk in, there is a key inside. Good wifi, modern TV, microwave, jug, breakfast in the fridge - cereal, milk.

The Potter’s Pad

The Potter’s Pad is a gorgeous, private tiny home in the foothills of Pirongia Mountain, with stunning countryside views in every direction The perfect place to experience off grid living but with all the luxuries. Beautifully furnished and full of unique handmade pottery, relax in our hammock chairs and soak up the sunset by the outdoor fire pit Talk to the horses while you listen to the nearby stream and birdlife instead of traffic, although only a two minute drive in to Pirongia Village

Fleetwood Mack Housetruck in Pirongia

Stay in a Housetruck built from recycled/reused materials on the back of a Mack Truck. A Queen bed in the front loft and one single bed in the back. The Housetruck has basic kitchen facilities. Jug, toaster, fridge and microwave. A shower inside the truck, it runs from a califont so is set to one temperature using one tap. Please note that the toilet is located in a separate building about ten steps away along with the washing machine. You have unlimited private access to these.

Box on the Hill

Stay at Box on the Hill, an unplugged country escape in Waitetuna Valley. Just a 20 minute drive from the surf town Raglan. The self-contained unit has everything you need for a couples getaway ( Sorry no children ). Quiet with stunning views. Box on the Hill is attached to the owners garage with its own private external access. Smoke and vape free property.

Breathe the fresh country air at this contemporary architecture retreat. The country stay is located down a typical New Zealand country road. Surrounded by dairy farms and kiwi fruit orchards, guests may see farmers about their daily work. I'm 20 min from Te Awamutu, 30 min to Hamilton , 40 min to Waitomo Caves, Lake Karapiro or Raglan, 1 hr to Hobbiton & 25 min to Mystery Creek for Field Days. Queen-size bed accommodates up to 2 people. Beautiful views across the area & close access to many local tramping options. Solar-powered apartment is in excellent shape with a kitchen covered with all the basics. Heat pump, wifi & tv (freeview) provided.

A warm, spacious and private retreat set on 60 acres 2 minutes from Pirongia village. Fully self contained with large lounge, dining and kitchen area and your own bathroom and toilet. Swings, maypole and trampoline for the kids. Pets to pat. Swimming pool available through the warmer months. The Black Barn is set amongst an open ground nursery and farmland. If you like plants and space, you will love this place!
