Our stunning area has many activities to offer including various hikes, kayaking, horse treks, ziplining and more. To relax there are lounges and a hot tub, great for stargazing! If you don't feel like cooking up a feast take a break and dine in our cozy restaurant. Please note that we're a 5hr drive from Milford Sound. Not suitable for children under 10. Please look at our wilderness rooms if with children.

Arthur's Pass Ecolodge - unique off grid living
Only 10mins south of Arthur's Pass Village, on SH73, the Ecolodge overlooks the expansive Waimakariri River and mountains of the National Park. Experience "off grid" living at its best on a small environmental footprint. To stay costs $175 per night for bed and homemade breakfast (for 2 people). You have the option to book up to 4 people in your group, as I have two Queen rooms available. I'm more than happy to share a 2-course meal + wine/beer for $35 pp and spend time sharing stories.

The Barn at Killin is a family owned private property, set back off the shores of Lake Ohau, at the foot hills of the majestic Southern Alps in the heart of the Mackenzie country. Secluded on 25 acres, The Barn offers stunning mountain, high country & lake views & private access to Lake Middleton. The guest accommodation is on the second storey of the barn & offers four luxurious super king rooms with beautiful private ensuites, all newly built and decorated.

Since the 1920s the Poolburn Hotel has been the meeting place of the Ida Valley. Nestled in the remote highlands of Central Otago, between Dunedin and the Lakes District, the valley is home to a close-knit farming community.
