Staying at Mohija Homestay in Kandaghat was truly one of the most heartwarming and refreshing experiences I've had in the mountains. Tucked away in the peaceful hills of Himachal Pradesh, this charming retreat offers the perfect mix of comfort, natural beauty, and authentic Himachali hospitality. The homestay itself is beautifully built — blending traditional aesthetics with modern comforts. The rooms are airy, clean, and cozy, with large windows that offer stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The host was very responsive, warm, and friendly. We found it a bit difficult to locate their location from the one provided on Airbnb but she quickly shared the precise location when we called and we were able to find it easily The room was same as shown in images. We liked another room which was not listed and she helped us upgrade at a nominal cost. Also, we were having some Wi-Fi issues but she again gave a room which had great connectivity to sort it The rooms were clean, had basic things like kettle, pedestal fan, hand wash soap, and shower gel. We also had a meal there and the food tasted great and the prices were also reasonable We stayed for 3 nights and apart from changing the room on day 1 didn't face any hassle afterwards. Caretaker Joginder Ji was very helpful and took care of all our needs. Service is good and they don't keep you waiting for long One con is parking has to be done outside. And you need to climb your way up to reach the lift Overall great stay. Recommended.

Humble homestay was a gem that I found. Coming from Mumbai, I wanted a place that is quiet and has nature all around while having the basic amenities that one needs. I was mesmerised by the view outside the balcony. Spent hours just staring at the distant mountains The House : Exactly as described. Clean, spacious and having all the amenities as described including a small fridge. I loved making my own food in the kitchen. The Area: Its beautiful. The walk down the road is so picturesque that I used to wake up everyday & take a walk first thing (which is so unlike me). The surroundings would heal me everyday. You can see nature everywhere - birds, clouds, trees and ofcourse the majestic mountains. The area is very calm , peaceful and quite but it also has the basic requirements: shops, medical store, restaurents and the bus-stop within 2 minutes of walk. There is also a small gym closeby. Hosts: Tashi aunty and Gagan are very helpful and friendly. I can't recommend them enough

loved the place the only thing is place is built on a platform so will feel like floor moving like up and down with kids its not easy

The place was really nice and the view from the room was absolutely perfect as you can see the entire Mall Road from there. One big plus is that Jakhu Temple is just 1.2 km away, which makes it easy to visit. The terrace is very spacious and offers beautiful views of the main areas like Mall Road and The Ridge, especially at night when everything is lit up. However, do keep in mind that you have to walk quite a bit to reach the homestay. The road is a steep uphill climb, which can be tiring. Also, cabs don’t go directly to Mall Road, and even if you hire one, they’ll charge extra and you’ll still have to walk a bit since the homestay isn’t right by the roadside. Overall, it’s a great place if you don’t mind a bit of a walk then the views and peaceful surroundings are worth it!

it was a nice stay with open terrace and a huge scenic view from bedroom, host couple was really nice and friendly, helped with everything regarding side scenes instructions was really clear how to reach at the property The servent was very active during service. breakfast and dinner I had was like we are having at our home.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Santilla. The homestay is beautifully maintained with so much care by Lila Ma’am and Santhosh Sir. Every moment felt peaceful and special. A big thank you to Peki and Zai, who looked after us so well and kept everything spotless. Santhosh Sir was a fantastic host—our conversations were inspiring, and he even guided us partway back to Garkal, which was so thoughtful. Do note that the roads leading to the property are patchy and narrow, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. The place, the people, and the peaceful surroundings make it a perfect getaway. We’d love to return on our next vacation. The kids had a great time too. It felt like we stayed at a friend’s place .Thank you for a memorable experience!

A wonderful and peaceful stay for a family. Property is awesome, very tastefully built on great standards. 💯 on 💯 to the hostel Mr Akhil and family for attending us so gracefully and helping us for everything during our stay. Had a gr8 family time and would like to visit again for sure.
