Property is gated, guest have there own access and free to roam the property. We like to give guest there own space, however either myself or a staff member are always available and happy to help. Visit the Huguenot Memorial Museum to learn about local history. Uber is recently available in Franschhoek but does have a limited presence (after 11pm/12pm). There is also a tuk tuk taxi available, please view enclosed information for contact. Please note there is a friendly young rescue dog that roams freely on the property. De Rust Willow Cottage - Villiersdorp, Theewaters

Note: This is a Hostless/ self-check in stay. Willow Cottage (Pet Friendly) has access to the whole pear farm and is on the banks of the largest dam in the Western Cape. Your stay also includes a private dam and picnic area to relax at. We are neighbours to Theewater Sports Club where one can sail, swim, fish and boat and close by is wine and beer tasting, and restaurants. We are 2kms from Villiersdorp, a short drive accesses all towns, and you can request single night stays and late checkout.

A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

We’re conveniently located just across the road from the Stettyn Family Vineyards tasting room, where you can enjoy award-winning wines and cheese platters. Outdoor lovers will appreciate the MTB and running trails, as well as our tranquil dam, ideal for bass fishing or birding.
