Tips from locals
Super cool spot to grab a drink and is located on Hawthorne Street with plenty of other options. The Backstage Bar has high ceilings and is built in an old theatre.
if you like fancy cigars and ports, this is the place... a man's place to hang out with other men and talk about man stuff while smoking cigars and drinking top-shelf whiskey or single-malt Scotch.
Beautiful high ceilings (3 stories high?) with multiple rooms for pool. Check their events calendar for movie nights. Pinball machines at the entrance.
One of the first theaters in the country to offer dining with your movie, you can order a beer and a meal to enjoy while you watch your movie here. The Bagdad is utterly unique!
McMenamin's is a Portland staple - they have bars and restaurants littered around town, and feature their own beers and wine. One of their best is the Bagdad theater, where you can grab a drink and a meal and and catch a movie. What a fun way to spend a drizzly day.
You can order food and beer with your movie! There is also a restaurant / bar with food and pool, etc.

“Don’t be fooled by the other locations. This is the real one and worth the wait! World famous chef Andy Ricker’s first place. The spicy wings are so addictive you want to order more. And the spicy boar collar , (just ask them) is the best thing on the menu. This is my favorite place to eat in Portland. ”
