Perlan is a prominent landmark in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavík. It is situated on the top of Öskjuhlíð hill. What was originally a cluster of hot water tanks was in 1991 converted to a building open to the public. It hosts an exhibition, a planetarium, an observation deck, and a restaurant.

Perlan is so much more than a landmark, museum, and an observation deck. Perlan is no. 1 attraction in Reykjavík; it‘s an iconic building that hosts one of a kind nature exploratorium. It‘s a learning laboratory where visitors explore Icelandic cities

Great for sightseeing and very good nature expeditions. Coffee house and restaurant with amazing on the top floor and nice souvenir shop Rammagerð. Perlan is by Öskjuhlíð (forrest) and Nauthólsvík (beach). Only a 10 min. drive away.
