A plantation house, museum and rum distillery and train ride. A great experience for those who enjoy history or rum or both.

Nicholas Abbey consists of a plantation house originally built in 1656. The Jacobean design is one of just three in the entire western hemisphere. The estate features include a boutique sugar factory as well as a new train which runs for several miles.

Rum and Sugar Cane Plantation that has a tour and free rum tasting. Expect to pay $45USD or $92 Barbados Dollars per person. This is a good visit because it will bring you to the East side of the island to visit and beach. It is also near the Sand Dunes restaurant for a budget friendly lunch. And there is also Betty's Bar & Grill a bit closer for more island dishes.
