Big, pretty bakery with good coffee (free refills!) and delicious buns. A great place to work with your laptop, but might be crowded at the weekends.

The best BBQ in Oslo. At a great price as well (as far as norwegian prices go). Delcious tender meat, in amazing sauces.

Close by the Tøyen Subway station. Good and cheap (by Norwegain standard, at least) baguettes and coffee, as well as pastries. Also wi-fi and quiet.

A trendy, new bar in the new and improved Tøyentorget (Tøyen Square). Real quiet and a nice atmosphere during the day (and with a of mommies/daddies with their trolleys), but can become packed by the evening. Something for everyone, here - at different times. Enjoy a cold, quiet beer with a newspaper. Also serves burgers and pizza! ;)

Beer? Coffee? Or good food to go with that nice feeling of a Mediterranean coffeehouse. Vespa & Humla has all of that.

Mainly a restaurant decorated like a 50s American diner, but in the evenings the patrons come for the drinks. Try the milkshake - Cookies and Creme and Strawberry might be the best you can have in Oslo. And if you are tired from the night before, you can have your american breakfast here - pancakes, bacon, eggs oh my!

Essentials

Hey, our closest store! Might be a bit expensive, it might be worth travelling a few 100 meters down the road and find a Rema 1000 or Kiwi. But again, so quick to visit!

A cheaper, bigger supermarket. If you can be bothered to walk 200 meters extra, this might be better for your budget than Bunnspris.

Getting Around

Our main access point to the rest of Oslo - all metro lines pass through Tøyen, so you do not have to transfer to get to the stop you want to get to. Also, any eastbound line you get on from the west of Oslo will pass though Tøyen, and if you are further East, the same applies for westbound lines. This makes travelling easy.
