Schwartz's Deli is famous for the Montréal smoked meat sandwich. It's always packed with people who either live around the corner or have come all the way from the other side of the planet, but its well worth the wait for one of the crown jewels of Montréal's food scene.

Really great, really affordable, and really popular Korean restaurant. Usually packed with students and there's a line to get in almost every night, but if you go as a couple you get in much quicker. Either way, truly worth the wait.

If Schwartz's is too packed, Rueben's on Ste Catherine is just as good. They're an actual restaurant instead of a deli, with way more menu options, but again the smoked meat (no matter how you take it) is really incredible.

Drinks & Nightlife

Can sometimes be hard to find since it literally doesn't have a name or sign, but this bar is like something out of Casablanca. It's a nice place to relax with a few friends, enjoy a cocktail, and get away from the city noise.
