Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Tiruvannamalai

The place was as described. Great location. Close to everything. Walking distance actually. Safe location. Very spacious apartment and comfortable. Air con worked really well. Bala was great host. I would definitely stay again.

Great location, 5-10 minute walk from Ramanashram but still in quiet area. Close to restaurants and shops. Very comfortable space, felt like a little home. Only thing was the wifi didn’t work well but it wasn’t a problem for me because I had SIM card.

Prem's mother warmly welcomed us & showed the property around. The place was pleasant and clean. She told about the neighborhood, how to get to the main road, and Ramana Maharshi Ashram. They have a restaurant with western food on the top floor. I would rate it 7/10. There is one andhra style restaurant at the end of the street, so u don't have to walk far to eat. Ramana Maharshi Ashram is walkable (10min max). Once you reach the main road, you'll find everything like coconut, streetfood, departmental store etc. While going to the property in auto, make sure you show the location on maps and not tell the streetname. Either Google maps is wrong or the auto driver robbed us extra money. They have decent kichen. We cooked noodles there. The property has a balcony, but not a great view though. ACs are working good. Washrooms are clean. We were three of them and all of us felt like home. Would pick this again if I ever come back to Tiruvannamalai.

This is my repeat stay at Bala’s. He has done an amazing job with the place and is very responsive and helpful. Notable examples of these include - Provided a skillet and a box for getting and storing food. - The shower head (which is a common problem in Indian AirbnBs because of hard water) works well. - Place was spotlessly clean - A self service washing machine is available which is super convenient - The rooftop terrace and swing are delightful. Overall very convenient and close to Ramanasram. When all these are taken care of one gets more time to spend on what is important, which is a blessing.

Sriraman place was exactly like the picture. The place was very neat and clean. He was very friendly and came to spot to guide me when google showed me a different route to the location. He also provided us with guidance for parking, how to reach the temple and gave girivalam suggestions as well. The information was helpful to make the right choices which made our trip easy. Since we went during peak summer he had provided some refreshments in the fridge which was so so good when we returned home after a hot day. Thank you so much Sriraman we throughly enjoyed the stay at your place and hoping to come there again during our next visit to Thiruvanamalai.

Bala’s Mountain House exceeded my expectations, even though I’d chosen carefully based on all the great reviews. It was even better than I imagined! You can’t beat the location, close to everything but on a quiet street so not too noisy. Bala and his family live on the ground floor and he’s super responsive to any needs. He always responded within an hour or so and took care of things that day. He supplies jugs of water and carries them up to you! It’s a great unit with fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with comfy beds and nice linens, and a living area. It’s just one floor up, so not too many stairs. And I didn’t hear anything from the other units the whole time. Internet works fine for zoom and regular things online. AC (just in one bedroom) and hot water (in the bathroom) work well. The rooftop view for darshan of Lord Arunachala is truly amazing. And being a few doors down from Inner Child restaurant is so great. I felt right at home immediately and can’t wait to return next year!

You can find many good Airbnb listings, but it is rare to find an exceptional host like Gaurav. The beautiful altar he has lovingly created for his Guru in his living room lends a beautiful energy to the place. Gaurav is very responsive, always willing to help and the unit is within walking distance to Ramanasramam, cafes and shops.

Nice comfortable stay. Suba is very very responsive and ready to help as much as possible. Although it’s just about 2 km from the temple, getting a reasonable rickshaw can be challenging, could have been due to my timing of visit as well. Rest all excellent!!

I Feel Like Home at that Place. Even the big Road is direktly in Front of the house wich makes it very noisy at that Place. Happy is always there for us And makes the stay each time Awesome.
