KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. Enjoy the charm of that era and Indigofera. ＝＝＝＝ Feel free to pick and eat seasonal fruits and vegetables from the adjacent fields. * Please enjoy as many figs as you like in summer and autumn. This is a private rental accommodation. The accommodation is on the 2nd to 4th floors. There is a bath and toilet on each floor. The rooftop terrace is also open. The 2nd floor has a kettle bath and can accommodate up to 6 people. The 3rd floor has a kitchen and can accommodate up to 3 people with a cypress bath. The 4th floor has an electric mahjong table and can accommodate up to 4 people. ※ Pets are only allowed in room 202 and the hallway. Please never let them enter the bedroom. Pet accommodation fee 1,000 yen/night (please put money in the can on the right side of the entrance) The entrance to the accommodation is on the right side of the building. We recommend using the Tokushima Prefecture Saiwai-cho parking lot, which costs 700 yen per night and is a 1-minute walk away. The first floor is a very popular spice curry specialty store. It is open from 11 am to 3 pm. There is an internet TV and a Super Famicom on the 2nd floor. There is a kitchen on the 3rd floor, and you can buy ingredients at the nearby market and have them cooked. It is located between Tokushima Station and the downtown area, so it can be used for various purposes.
