Holiday rentals with a patio in Tortuguero

What a location! Tortuguero is unique and Carmen (host), Angelo (Carmen’s husband and guide) and Hector (recommended guide with Angelo) helped shape our wonderful experience there. Accommodation perfectly located in quiet and brand new location 4 minutes walk outside the town, with a terrace overlooking the Caribbean. Although tour offers are plentiful in tortuguero , we would highly recommend choosing Angelo and Hector. With them, we went on a night time walk, early morning boat tour and day hike in national park. In this way, Instead of doing tours in large groups, we were just myself and wife, and got more a much more personalised trip. Seeing an incredible variety of animals and plants, going deeper into the canals than other boat trips, I’ve not felt this connected to nature in years. Would highly recommend this magical experience.

Carmen’s place is great. They helped schedule the night tour and boat tour as well as the pick and drop off from La Pavona. Place is right in front of the amazing beach. I saw hawker monkeys and lot animals within small walk outside the place. She gave a great tour to room and services offered. Little bit slow to respond but she will respond for sure. Highly recommend the place.

Hemos sido de los primeros extranjeros… a nosotros nos ha encantado pues estaba todo muy limpio… y no le falta de nada, te atienden fenomenal y te hacen sentir como en casa … te ayudan con todo y todo tiene el precio justo!! subir al cerro es el paseo diario de Lidien definitivamente volvería!!! si te gusta viajar! y conocer un poco mas de este país maravilloso, este es tu sitio!!! GRACIAS POR TODO NOS VEMOS PRONTO!!!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei Rodrigo. Es ist sehr hilfsbereit, macht tolle Vorschläge für Unternehmungen, die Organisation der Bootsfahrt von La Pavona nach Tortuguero war super, wir wurden abgeholt und zur Lodge gebracht und herzlich begrüßt. Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft, direkt am Dschungel, sehr sauber, gemütlich und ruhig. Danke Rodrigo (und unseren Führer Gabriel) für die schöne Zeit. ☺️

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad bij Carmen, echt niets negatiefs voor ons. De start is de communicatie vooraf. Carmen reageert snel en adequaat. Ze geeft duidelijke tips vanaf de haven waar je de boot op gaat. Dat is fijn, want het was bij ons druk met mensen die van alles wilde verkopen aan ons. Vervolgens staat ze klaar aan wal op Tortuguero, waar je met de boot terecht komt. Ze laat je haar verblijf zien, wat ontzettend schoon is en volledig van alle gemakken voorzien zoals shampoo en wifi etc. Ook is er schoon drinkwater aanwezig en is het strand op 1 min lopen en het dorpje op 5 min lopen; de perfect locatie! Ze heeft ons ook geholpen met succesvolle tours (o.a. met een kano en een nachttour). Tourguide Angelo was zeer serieus tijdens de tour en vond onze veiligheid erg belangrijk. Maar hij had ook erg veel humor en kennis!

Rapport qualité prix parfait, le logement était propre, super bien placé et le restaurant à côté est très bon 😊
