Great walks nearby. Good stopover when heading towards glaciers if heading south or north towards Nelson, Blenheim, or Picton. The local hotel in Ikamatua does great evening meals, this is only 5mins from accommodation.

Brand new warm and cosy studio unit. Best views in town, looks down on the train station and Bealey river and looks up to Mt Rolleston, even from the bath. There is a small kitchenette which has a fridge, kettle, toaster, electric fry pan and large microwave, There is a BBQ for when weather is warmer. Second on the right up Brake Hill.
