Holiday rentals with a kayak in Towns County

Beautiful week in Hiawassee! Since we return every year, it’s fun to see what’s changed (love the new paint!) and so happy for all that stays the same: beautiful home, with everything you need; huge porch that overlooks a gorgeous property and fantastic dock on the lake! We love it here!

The views in this home are breathtaking! It was amazing waking up and being surrounded by the lake and mountain views. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean! The kids really enjoyed the game room. My favorite part may have been the very kind and accommodating host. He was very quick to respond and was eager to help us troubleshoot a few minor issues. We had an amazing weekend and would absolutely visit again. :)

Beautiful place. Things really felt like home. 5 stars all around. Will definitely book again in the near future.

We had a great time! The home was as expected and very nice. We really enjoyed everything about it. The location, porch, hot tub and fire pit was all a plus.

What a gorgeous home and neighborhood! We have stayed at many Airbnb’s, and we all agreed it’s the best place we’ve ever stayed. We are so grateful to Darlene for sharing her beautiful home! The lake is stunningly beautiful, and the location of the house could not be more perfect. Our children loved fishing and swimming right off of the private dock. All of the beds and linens were so comfortable- we truly felt right at home. The space is much larger and even more beautiful than the photos depict. All of the furnishings are stylish and in great condition. We would absolutely love to stay again!

We had a fantastic vacation, the house fit perfectly for us and also, had everything that we needed to feel like we were in our home. Anuta was amazing, she let us check in early, the kitchen has everything that you need, and the bathroom and bedroom have extra of everything for don’t worry about anything just enjoy your vacation. The neighborhood was welcome and advice about restaurants and places to visit. We highly recommend the house and the place.

Janet was the best host I’ve ever had—extremely responsive and super flexible. My children loved the entire space, and we enjoyed a beautiful breeze from the balcony. We had a little storm during our stay, but it was no big deal. Everything was close by, including the lovely park in Hiawassee. We had an amazing time riding horses in Brasstown, making s’mores, flying kites, and panning for gems in Helen—just good old-fashioned fun. The kids especially loved the bunk beds with the Beddy’s sheets. We were able to stream cartoons for them and make breakfast using the griddle. Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable few days!

The house was everything we'd hoped it would be. All 8 guests were thrilled with the entire experience. The house was awesome, with every detail provided for. Our host, Priscilla, was super responsive during the handful of times I needed to reach out to her. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains was stunning! The bedrooms are spread out enough for privacy for all of us. We would definitely come back, and hope that Priscilla is still the host for this amazing property!

This place is perfection! Leslie was super friendly and communicated everything clearly. She has thought of everything to make your stay perfect, and we will definitely return!

Patsy’s place was the perfect weekend getaway for our family. Seeing it with our own eyes was even better than the pictures on the listing. Beautiful lake front. Multiple outside dining and grilling spaces and a dock. There were only 4 of us but 3-4 more peeps could’ve joined us comfortably. Patsy was great with communicating and answering our questions. We would come back.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

This was such a charming cottage with a wonderful view of the river. We really enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. We definitely hope to make it back during the warmer months to go tubing and swimming.

What a wonderful property! We visited for our honeymoon and had such a lovely time. Spent a good chunk of our time in the loft, listening to the rain on the tin roof! The forest behind the house is beautiful. I learned that I really love baths while here, as it was a bit too chilly to use the outdoor shower. Didn't mind that at all and it was really nice to scrub down and soak in the tub. We loved how getting to Foxfire and Tallulah Gorge was very quick from this location. White Birch Provisions in Clayton is incredible and you should visit if you stay here. Overall was a fantastic time and we are so thankful we could experience this beautiful, magical place! <3

Love the space, perfect for large groups!!

This was our 2nd stay at Sweetwater Cottage & the view & lake access were just as fantastic as we remembered from 4 yrs ago! We had plans to do some daytrips to nearby areas but ended up boating, towed tubing, fishing, kayaking, & paddle boarding… never left the cottage all week. We appreciated having access to the kayaks & paddle boards along with some additional water toys available for guests stored in the garage. The kids were thrilled that they actually caught some fish right off the dock! We ate out only once during the whole week for breakfast at The Sawmill Place (delicious food, great service, recommended by our host). We ate all other meals at the cottage (including lots of grilling). A nice selection of spices & a well equipped kitchen were very convenient. We bought food to cook at Ingles but otherwise the cottage had everything we needed for a great family trip (including 3 bathrooms). Loved the trees on each side of the property for excellent privacy.

Great place to stay with my dogs. Very nicely decorated. All the beds seemed really comfortable. I appreciated several thoughtful touches such as treats for the dogs and an electric kettle to make my morning tea (as well as a Keurig and coffee maker - it's not often you find ALL the options!) Will definitely look for this place next time I'm in the area.

We had a wonderful time hanging out on the lake and by the fire pit. The deck set up was great too. The inside was clean and comfortable. Thank you for everything.

She was incredibly responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The cabin itself was well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared, providing all the comforts of home. This home was exactly as advertised. We felt welcomed and right at home with all of the personal touches that Jill has included. Easily accessible location, easy access to the lake with minimal incline. Responsive owner who has gone above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. She even called after check out to let us know about a forgotten asthma inhaler, offering to mail it to us. Great experience, cant wait to return!

Absolutely, beautiful and peaceful place! Karen was 100% spot on responsive to all of our questions and needs. The place is fairly remote, but if you’re looking for a nice peaceful spot, this is it. Access to the property is no problem. We drove a Nissan Maxima all the way up the mountain to the property and not no issues at all.

I really like the location on the knoll surrounded by trees and valleys. A bit of traffic noise, but not inside the cabin. Every supply anyone could think of or forget to bring.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! Our hosts had great communication and it was obvious they love being hosts! The cabin was spotless, the perfect size and so clean. We wish we had stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities! Very secluded and cozy, a great cabin!

Loved the cabin! Great rental if you have a boat. The dock was awesome and really close the to public landing. Lori and Tim were awesome hosts. Very relaxing getaway.

The location is beautiful!! Traveled with 3 children and 5 adults. All had a great time from fishing, swimming, the use of the game room, or just simply relaxing in the hot tub. Plenty to do!! Thank you so much for the use of your home!!!
